CONDOLENCE MESSAGE

On behalf of the Executive Council and the entire members of the Amo National Students' Association (AMONSA), University of Jos Chapter, we extend our heartfelt condolences to the Amo National Development Association (AMONDA), the family, friends, and loved ones of our dearly departed brother, EH Gambo, following his passing.
We received the news of his demise with profound sadness. His dedication, humility, and selfless service to the Amo community will remain a lasting inspiration to all who knew him. His contributions and positive impact will not be forgotten.
We pray that Almighty God forgives his shortcomings, grants him eternal rest, and comforts his family, colleagues, and the entire Amo community during this difficult time.

AMONSA UNIJOS CHAPTER INAUGURATES NEW EXECUTIVE COUNCIL

The Amo National Students Association (AMONSA), University of Jos Chapter, successfully held the inauguration of its newly elected Executive Council on Sunday, 26th July 2026, at Sky Bank Hall, University of Jos.

The colorful ceremony was attended by distinguished guests, including the Staff Adviser and Deputy Registrar of the University of Jos, Eld. Emmanuel Madugu and his wife; the National President of the Amo National Youth Association (AMONYA), Mr. Micah Micah Jr.; a former President of AMONSA, University of Jos Chapter, and Deputy Chairman of the Plateau State Youth Council (Bassa LGA), Comr. Amumu Bature Adams; as well as the outgoing President, Mr. Seth Amile Attah.

In their goodwill messages, the guests congratulated the newly inaugurated executives and charged them to be responsible, selfless, and dedicated leaders. They encouraged them not to be discouraged by challenges but to remain committed to serving the association with integrity, unity, and excellence. They also urged the new leadership to work tirelessly towards taking AMONSA to greater heights.

The following executives were officially sworn into office:

3. Simon Obed Bitrus – Financial Secretary
4. Yohana Levi Utunga – Public Relations Officer
5. Joy Amos Barry – Welfare Secretary

7. Lizino Bitrus Rizga – Treasurer

The inauguration marks the beginning of a new chapter for AMONSA, University of Jos Chapter, with high hopes that the new leadership will foster unity, promote academic excellence, preserve the rich Amo cultural heritage, and advance the interests of Amo students within and beyond the University community.

The Electoral Committee (ELCOM) of the AMO National Students Association (AMONSA), University of Jos Chapter, hereby informs all members of the ongoing sales of nomination forms for various executive positions for the 2026/2027 session.

In the spirit of transparency and democratic participation, interested and eligible members can obtain nomination forms from now till the end of the June 30th
