Kuyper’s words capture something important about how we think about theological education. If Christ is Lord over every square inch of human existence, then the study of theology cannot be detached from the world in which that theology is lived out.
At JRTC, we believe theological education should prepare people not only to understand Scripture and think carefully about the faith, but also to live and serve faithfully in the real world.
That is why we consider skills such as technology important to theological education. The same men and women who will teach, preach, disciple, and serve the church will also work in a world shaped by technology. They should therefore be equipped to engage that world wisely and effectively.
Our aim is to give our students an education that is rooted in Scripture, serious about theology, and attentive to the needs of the church and society.
This computer class is a small expression of that vision: equipping men and women not only for the work of the church, but for faithful Christian service in the world God has called them to serve.
