A Message to Fellow Nigerian Graduates
During my NYSC year, I made a decision that changed my life—I began learning aluminum work. I didn’t let pride or fear hold me back. I was willing to learn from people who didn’t have the same qualifications as I did, and I never let that discourage me. I stayed humble, focused, and consistent.
Today, it has become a blessing from Allah. I now understand at least 70% of everything I need to know in the aluminum business. Even when I'm not physically present at the site, I’m building something valuable. If another job opportunity comes my way, it won’t distract me—I’ll use the income to reinvest and grow my business even further.
So to every young graduate out there still searching or unsure of what’s next: don’t sit idle. Learn a skill. Start something. Education is important, but self-reliance through skill is powerful. Keep learning, stay humble, and never underestimate small beginnings.
