ADVICE TO ALL THE NEWLY ADMITTED STUDENTS!!!
1: Disregard the notion that fpi is a tough academic ground as it is the anthem of the lazy ones.. no one has double heads ... if mrA can succeed from there, mrB has no excuse.
2: Always follow up your books as soon as you are done from lectures and don't leave it to get piled up. I.e don't wait until test or exam is fast approaching before you start reading . strike while the iron is hot.
3: Do not depend on the notes provided by your lecturers alone. go extra miles to visit the school E-library or the general library to stay up to date.
4: Do not take your assignment and test for granted as it is capable to make or mar your G.P.
5: learn to like all your lecturers no matter what. this will make you to like their courses and by implication, pass them .
6: Try not to be too committed in too many extra curricula activities as these could draw you back. for instance, only one student being a member of Naval cadet, Pick a brain or ATI as the case may be, and at the same time a player in a departmental team .... its detrimental to your studies. if you must join, one is OK for you.
7: Make friends with those you can achieve intellects from.. I.e those that can teach you.. don't feel too big to learn from your fellow students... even if you are in HND, an ND student can teach you CALCULUS.
8: Choose your reading partner carefully if you must have one and ensure you decide the best reading place for yourself ... some prefer to read in the class while others prefer to read at home ... for me , I can't read in the class so I chose home. therefore, do not choose to read in the class because your friend reads in class. you both are different creatures. what is good for the goose may not be good for the gander so also, one man meat is another man's poising. Do what suits you.
9: Learn to help others for what ever you do unto your fellow man, same shall be done unto you.
ABOVE ALL
10: Read as if there is no God and pray as if reading is a waste of time (FPI SUCCESS FORMULA)
Love you all and hope to see you on the ladder of success
