AKUM Welcomes ARFH, Seeks Collaboration on Reproductive and Family Health
Abdulkadir Kure University, Minna (AKUM), has received the Association for Reproductive and Family Health (ARFH) on a courtesy visit aimed at exploring areas of collaboration and strengthening initiatives that promote reproductive and family health within the university community.
Receiving the delegation, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Mohammed Aliyu Paiko, described the visit as apt and timely, noting that partnerships with relevant organisations are important to advancing the wellbeing of students and members of the university community.
The Vice-Chancellor expressed the University’s readiness to work with ARFH in areas of mutual interest, particularly through awareness programmes, health education and initiatives that will contribute positively to the wellbeing and development of students.
Speaking during the visit, ARFH Family Planning Specialist, Dr. Esther Ishaya, explained that the organisation is committed to promoting reproductive health and family planning through education, awareness and access to appropriate health information and services.
The visit provided an opportunity for both institutions to discuss possible areas of collaboration, with the University expressing optimism that the engagement would lead to meaningful and sustainable interventions for the AKUM community.
The engagement further underscores AKUM’s commitment to building strategic partnerships with relevant organisations in support of the health, welfare and overall development of its students and staff.
