Lamine Yamal has become one of football's most exciting young talents, but his journey was built on the determination and sacrifices of his mother, Sheila Ebana.
Born in Bata, Equatorial Guinea, Sheila moved to Spain while she was still young in search of better opportunities. She later welcomed Lamine into the world. Although she and his father, Mounir Nasraoui, separated when Lamine was only three years old, both continued to play important roles in raising him.
Supporting the family was never easy. Sheila worked long shifts as a waitress and cook at a McDonald's restaurant in Mataró. When she recognized her son's passion for football, she made another life-changing decision. She transferred to a McDonald's in Granollers so Lamine could join CF La Torreta, where he began playing football at the age of four.
Despite financial challenges and demanding work schedules, Sheila never stopped believing in her son's dream. She stood by him every step of the way, giving him the support he needed to keep chasing his goals.
Lamine has often spoken with deep respect about his mother. In one interview, he said, "I have never stopped respecting my mother. When she speaks, everyone listens."
As his football career has continued to rise, fans have also become familiar with Sheila, who now shares family moments with Lamine and his younger half-brother, Keyne, on social media.
