I Led NANS Delegation on Courtesy Visit to DSS Director, Akwa Ibom State Command
Earlier yesterday, I had the privilege of leading a high-powered delegation of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) on a courtesy visit to the State Director of the Department of State Services (DSS), Akwa Ibom State Command, Mr. Adedoyin Adetuberu.
The visit was an opportunity to appreciate the Director for his exemplary leadership, professionalism, and unwavering commitment to maintaining peace and security in Akwa Ibom State. We also commended his efforts in fostering a cordial relationship between the student community and relevant government institutions through dialogue, understanding, and constructive engagement.
During the visit, I expressed the appreciation of Nigerian students for the Director's open-door policy and his willingness to engage with student leaders on issues affecting students and the educational environment. I noted that his leadership has contributed significantly to strengthening trust, promoting peace, and ensuring a conducive atmosphere for learning and student development across the state.
I also used the opportunity to thank him for his fatherly support, guidance, and encouragement towards student leadership, particularly during the NANS National Convention that culminated in my emergence as the National Vice President, Special Duties.
In his response, the DSS Director appreciated the visit and reaffirmed the commitment of the Service to protecting lives and property while supporting initiatives that promote peace, security, and national development. He urged student leaders to remain responsible, law-abiding, patriotic, and focused on advancing the interests of students and the nation at large.
