📚 NERD Sensitisation & Practical Demonstration
The College today, Wednesday, 19th August 2026, hosted a sensitisation and practical demonstration programme on the Nigeria Education Repository and Databank (NERD) at the College Auditorium.
The programme focused on creating awareness and strengthening participants’ understanding of NERD, particularly its role in the centralisation, preservation, verification and management of academic records and scholarly works in Nigerian tertiary institutions.
The programme featured insightful presentations and practical demonstrations by Dr. Adediran I. O., Mr. Ahmed Abdulbasit, and Mr. Okoro Onyebuchi, covering institutional roles and responsibilities, staff onboarding, platform navigation, project submission and supervision, NERD compliance, reporting, communication, and technical support for students.
The programme further highlighted the importance of collaboration among the College, Departments, academic staff, students and technical personnel in ensuring effective implementation and compliance with NERD requirements.
It was an informative and engaging programme that provided participants with practical knowledge towards the effective adoption of digital academic record management and verification.

ONE-DAY SEMINAR ON INSTITUTIONAL BEST PRACTICES
Kabba College of Agriculture, Division of Agricultural Colleges, Ahmadu Bello University, Kabba, held a one-day seminar on “Ensuring Excellence in the Administration of Practicals, Assessment, Examinations and Project Supervision through Institutional Best Practices” on Tuesday, 18th August 2026.
The seminar provided an important platform for members of staff to share knowledge and strengthen professional practices in the areas of teaching, practical administration, assessment, examinations and project supervision.
The resource persons, Professor Ogundare, S. K.; Dr. Mrs. Atte, P. O.; Mr. Mukaila, I. F.; and Mrs. Adeyemi, A. N., delivered insightful presentations that highlighted the importance of preparation, effective supervision, accountability, proper documentation and adherence to institutional standards.
The programme was engaging and informative, providing participants with valuable perspectives and practical approaches for improving academic activities and promoting continuous quality improvement within the College.
The seminar was a worthwhile professional development programme and reflected the College’s continued commitment to academic excellence, institutional standards and improved student outcomes.
