Mentally, however, he will have to master droughts, freezing cold, steep climbs, crying hunger and at times loneliness. However, the project is not only about cycling through rough landscapes: it is about people. Along the road, he will make others part of his trip by organizing high school, college and university meetings. Starting from his own experience, Aart will inspire students to take their lives in their own hands and to make their dreams real. Students and followers can enter an online video contest and show what their aspirations are about. Over the last ten years, he has covered more than 16,000 miles in Europe, Russia and the Middle East.
