We are immensely proud to feature the impactful work of Ms. ASHRIKA BISTA from the 020 Architecture Batch. Her journey within the "Cities 4 Women" framework represents a profound shift from traditional drafting to community-rooted urbanism.
Working closely with the Ward 8 community in Birendranagar, the selected students listened to stories, shared ideas, and co-designed spaces that reflect everyday life and local culture. A key highlight of this intervention is the design of Prabhat Park,a space envisioned for connection and belonging.
Featuring a traditional Chautari, dedicated children’s play zones, moulded play areas, and comfortable seating, the park stands as a testament to architecture that prioritizes gathering and rest.
Under the expert guidance of Dr. Prof. Sanjaya Uprety, Ashrika and her peers learned to see architecture beyond mere form, moving towards a practice defined by climate, context, and care.
