The University of Nepal (UNepal), through its Center for Teaching, Learning, and Educational Research (CeTLER), organized a thought-provoking session on “Gender, Equity, and Inclusion in the Workplace” on September 18, 2026, at the Academic Campus, Uttardhoka.

Led by Ms. Chandni Joshi, Member of the Board of Trustees of University of Nepal, the session brought together members of the Board of Trustees, Executive members, and Faculty from the School of Public Policy (SPP) and the School of Arts, Sciences, and Technology (SAST).

The discussion explored how gender roles are socially constructed and reinforced through everyday practices, stereotypes, and institutional structures. Participants reflected that the goal is not simply to reverse gender roles, but to recognize caring, nurturing, earning, leading, and household responsibilities as shared human skills.

Such dialogue creates space for meaningful reflection and dialogue, helping ideas of equality, equity, and inclusion become part of our everyday attitudes, relationships, and institutional practices.

Career Prospects Talk Session at University of Nepal

University of Nepal hosted Mr. Birendra Raj Pandey, President of Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI), at its Uttardhoka (Lazimpat) Academic Campus for an engaging session on “Career Prospects: Industry and Academia Linkage.”

The session offered students valuable insights into the evolving labour market, emerging technologies, brain drain, and the importance of academia–industry collaboration in preparing for future careers.
