The Graduate School of Management (GSM) of Mid-West University has successfully accomplished a major academic milestone by comprehensively redesigning and restructuring seven academic programs, namely the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), Bachelor of Business Studies (BBS), Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Business Studies (MBS), Bachelor of Hotel Management (BHM), Bachelor of Travel and Tourism Management (BTTM), and the newly designed Master of Public Administration (MPA) program.
All these programs were developed through a rigorous, consultative, and labor market-driven academic reform process, ensuring alignment with national priorities, global academic standards, and emerging industry requirements. The School further marked this achievement by successfully conducting the Public Validation of all seven academic programs, incorporating valuable inputs and recommendations from academic experts, policymakers, industry professionals, and other key stakeholders.
This significant academic accomplishment was formally presented in the presence of the Vice-Chancellor, Registrar, Deans, Executive Directors of various academic and administrative directorates, distinguished faculty members, and dedicated administrative staff of the University. Their presence, guidance, and continued institutional support greatly strengthened the quality assurance and governance aspects of the program redesign process.
In addition to the academic reform initiatives, the Graduate School of Management has also successfully published Volume VII, Issue 1 of the Journal of Nepalese Management and Research (JNMR). The publication of this peer-reviewed academic journal reflects the School’s strong commitment to promoting research culture, scholarly discourse, and evidence-based knowledge production in the fields of management, public administration, and allied disciplines.
Collectively, these achievements underscore the Graduate School of Management’s ongoing dedication to academic excellence, institutional innovation, research advancement, and stakeholder engagement, thereby reinforcing Mid-West University’s role as a leading institution in higher education reform and management education in Nepal.
