On this day, 115 years ago, Lodge Te Marama No. 186 was constituted at Ngāruawāhia on 10 October 1911.

Lodge Tawhiri No. 166 played a part in its establishment, having unanimously supported the petition for a Charter just two months earlier.

In 2017, members of Lodge Te Marama joined with those of Lodge Hillcrest and Lodge Hamutana to form Lodge Waikato No.475.

Today, we remember this connection and the part our Brethren played in the early development of Freemasonry in the Waikato.
