Our Auckland and Wellington 2025 Graduates started in the office this week after an official welcome in January and the recent completion of their Professional Legal studies.

We have an enthusiastic group ready to join their teams, develop their skills and contribute to the great work we do for our clients.

We have four days packed with internal department sessions, training, and social events to ensure they are well equipped for life as a BG lawyer.

The graduate roles are a great outcome of our summer intern programme which runs each year from November to February.

We were delighted to welcome back former partner, author Rachel Paris, to speak to our clients and team as part of the Women at Bell Gully programme hosted by Corporate partner Laura Littlewood.

Rachel’s debut novel, 𝘚𝘦𝘦 𝘏𝘰𝘸 𝘛𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘍𝘢𝘭𝘭, which has sped to the top of the New Zealand bestseller list. She spoke to the group about her decision to follow her dream of becoming an author, the process of writing and themes in her novel, being picked up by a publisher, signing a two-book deal and now putting her book out into the world. Rachel also shared her observations on wider issues for writers including in the age of AI and her top pick for the lead actress if the optioned screen rights are taken up!

Many thanks to Rachel, and the Women at Bell Gully community, who joined us for this event. We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did!
