Celebrating God’s goodness at the 11th Commencement Exercises of Sceptre College, a ministry of Christian Bible Baptist Church Los Baños, held during our Afternoon Service on April 19, 2026, with the theme “Finish the Course with Joy” (Acts 20:24). We rejoice and congratulate the 13 graduates of the Associate in Bible Education, 1 Certificate in Bible Education, and 2 Certificate in Theology, who have answered God’s call to study and serve.
From its humble beginnings as a theology department to becoming a training ground for faithful workers in the ministry, Sceptre College continues to equip men and women to rightly divide the Word of truth and carry out the Great Commission.
Through the message “A Fixed Heart for God” from Psalm 57:1–11, Rev. Lawrence D. De Leon emphasized how David’s heart remained fixed despite afflictions, encouraging us to trust God, knowing that the battle is the Lord’s and we are but His instruments, and to align our hearts to the Lord. As these graduates go forward, may they continue to live out the truth of 2 Timothy 2:15 “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”
