The Information and Communications Technology Unit (ICTU) of Apayao State College successfully conducted a Microsoft 365 Orientation for First- and Second-Year Students of the Luna Campus on August 11–12, 2026, as part of the Unit’s continuing efforts to strengthen students’ digital readiness and familiarize them with the College’s Microsoft 365 environment.

Through presentations, discussions, and demonstrations, students were introduced to the essential Microsoft 365 applications and services available through their institutional accounts, including Microsoft Teams, Outlook, OneDrive, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other productivity and collaboration tools that support academic communication, learning, file management, and collaboration.

A key part of the orientation also focused on account security and cybersecurity awareness. Students were introduced to the use of Microsoft Authenticator for Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), highlighting how an additional layer of verification helps protect their institutional Microsoft 365 accounts from unauthorized access. The discussion also covered password security, responsible account usage, and the proper management of digital files and information.

Students were likewise guided on how Microsoft 365 services can support their academic activities and enable them to effectively navigate ASC’s technology-enabled learning environment throughout their academic journey.

The activity forms part of the ICTU’s continuing initiatives to advance digital literacy, cybersecurity awareness, technology adoption, and the effective utilization of institutional digital services among ASC students.

Through initiatives such as the Microsoft 365 Orientation, the ICTU continues to support the College’s digital transformation and its commitment to providing a secure, accessible, and technology-enabled learning environment for the ASC community.

Empowering students through technology. Securing ASC’s digital future.
