A Meaningful Start for Our Department

Every successful academic year begins with proper guidance, discipline, and unity. Our recent department meeting was more than just a gatheringβ€”it served as an opportunity to remind students of their responsibilities while strengthening the bond within our department. Opening the program with a prayer created a respectful and positive atmosphere, encouraging everyone to participate with open minds and hearts.

One of the meeting's highlights was the student orientation, where important school policies and departmental guidelines were discussed. Students were reminded of the importance of wearing the proper school uniform and adhering to the department's rules and regulations. The discussion on minor and major offenses emphasized the value of discipline, respect, and accountability in maintaining a safe, orderly, and productive learning environment.

The meeting also focused on the planning of the upcoming acquaintance party, an event designed to foster friendship, teamwork, and camaraderie among students. More than just a social gathering, the activity aims to strengthen the sense of community within the department and encourage students to build meaningful connections with one another.

Another significant part of the program was the election of department officers. By choosing responsible and committed student leaders, the department empowers students to take an active role in representing their peers and contributing to the department's growth and success.

As we begin another academic year, this meeting reminds us that a strong department is built not only through academic excellence but also through discipline, cooperation, and responsible leadership. When students choose to participate actively and uphold the values of the institution, they become partners in creating a united, productive, and inspiring academic community.

TED Community Gathers for Departmental Meeting, Setting Tone for SY 2026–2027

The Teacher Education Department (TED) convened for its departmental meeting on July 3 at the Aurora Public Gymnasium, bringing together TED students, faculty members, and department officers for a morning of reflection, direction, and important updates. The gathering was led by Governor Daneza Yamaro and graced by the presence of Dominador Dechimo, LPT, MAEd, Acting Dean of the Teacher Education Department, and Blaise Marie L. Lumapas, LPT, MAGC, Prefect of Discipline/DSA.

Addressing the department, Dean Dechimo highlighted key academic matters, including the students' academic performance and the department's performance in the Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers (LEPT). Rather than just presenting figures, he challenged aspiring educators to pursue the teaching profession with genuine passion, commitment, and a deep sense of purpose. He encouraged students to reflect on the values they uphold as future teachers and to strive for excellence both inside and outside the classroom.

Meanwhile, Lumapas underscored the importance of discipline by discussing major offenses and their corresponding consequences, reminding students that professionalism begins with responsible conduct, accountability, and respect for institutional policies.

The meeting also featured Governor Yamaro's announcements regarding the upcoming Acquaintance Party and Entrepreneurial Day, followed by the introduction of the TED Student Council Officers for SY 2026–2027. Taking on newly elected leadership roles are Rexter Rizada as Vice Governor, Jesril Pamalaran as Treasurer, Philip Luason as one of the Public Information Officers, Trixxie Faith Aca-ac as First Year Representative, Lerra Beton as Muse, and Derick Baydal as Prince Charming. Rotchel Ceniza was also introduced as the newly appointed Fourth Year Representative.

Joining them are the continuing officers from the previous term: Governor Daneza Yamaro, Secretary Jherold Jeck Carcueva, Auditor Sherryn Avila, Public Information Officers Jovel Sumbilon and Lito Sawit, Angelie Ceniza as Second Year Representative, and Aira Claire Tagbo as Third Year Representative.

Together, the newly elected, newly appointed, and continuing officers will serve the Teacher Education Department for SY 2026–2027, marking another step toward a united, empowered, and service-driven TED community as it embarks on a new academic year.
