August 19–20, 2026 | Capability Building & Strategic Extension Planning

Representatives from Bacolod City College participated in the two-day Capability Building & Strategic Extension Planning for Extension Coordinators and Practitioners in the Negros Island Region held at Negros Oriental State University (NORSU) and co-hosted by PHILKOFA and the Extension Managers Council–Negros Island Region, Inc. (EMC-NIR Inc.). The training strengthened participants’ competencies in strategic extension planning, policy and SDG integration, ethics, technology transfer, research publication, and the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in extension services. Through knowledge-sharing sessions, discussions, and an open forum, participants gained practical insights on developing innovative, research-driven, ethical, sustainable, and high-impact community extension programs.

August 11, 2026 | The National Energy Efficiency and Conservation Officers (NEECO) held their National Convention at Roy’s Hotel and Convention Center in Bacolod City, bringing together energy efficiency and conservation advocates from across the country.

Adding a vibrant touch to the celebration, the Bacolod City College CoEd Dance Troupe proudly took the stage for the first time at the event, presenting a cultural dance that beautifully brought to life the rich history and heritage of Bacolod City.

A memorable performance that showcased not only the talent of our students, but also the culture and story of the City of Smiles! 💃🕺✨

BACOLOD CITY — Agosto 11, 2026. Nagpakitang-gilas sa larangan ng pagsasayaw ang BCC College of Education (COED) Dance Troupe sa ginanap na National Energy Efficiency and Conservation Officers National Convention ngayong araw sa Roy’s Hotel, Bacolod. Ang tagapagdaloy ng palatuntunan ng programa ay sina Dr. Romuel Alcantaradas at Miss Christine Cometa.

Pinatunayan ng mga piling mag-aaral ng Bacolod City College – College of Education ang kanilang talento, disiplina, at husay sa pagsasayaw sa harap ng mga convention participants na binubuo ng mga opisyal at kinatawan mula sa iba’t ibang panig ng Pilipinas.

Ang pagtatanghal ay nagsilbing pagkakataon upang maipakita ng mga mag-aaral hindi lamang ang kanilang talento sa sining at kultura, kundi maging ang kanilang kumpiyansa at kahusayan bilang kinatawan ng kanilang institusyon.

Ang grupo ay pinangunahan sa paggabay ni Gng. Rose Marie S. Seballos. Kasama sa matagumpay na pagbabahagi ng kanilang talento ang mga bumuo sa BCC COED Dance Troupe:

BUWAN NG WIKA 2026 | AGOSTO 2026 🇵🇭

Ang Bacolod City College Gender and Development Office, naayon sa kampanya ng Philippine Commission on Women (PCW), ay nakikiisa sa pagdiriwang ng Buwan ng Wikang Pambansa 2026.

Sa temang:

“Wikang Filipino at AI: Kasangkapan sa Pananaliksik at Tulay sa Yaman ng Impormasyon,”

ating ipinagdiriwang ang mahalagang papel ng wikang Filipino sa makabagong panahon ng teknolohiya at artificial intelligence. Patuloy nating itaguyod ang isang lipunang inklusibo, may paggalang sa pagkakapantay-pantay ng kasarian, at may pantay na pagkakataon para sa lahat sa larangan ng edukasyon, pananaliksik, at inobasyon.

Ang wika ay hindi lamang kasangkapan sa komunikasyon—ito rin ay tulay sa kaalaman, kultura, pagkakaisa, at pantay na pag-unlad.
