𝙔𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙙𝙖𝙮 𝙬𝙖𝙨 𝙢𝙤𝙧𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙣 𝙖 𝙘𝙚𝙧𝙚𝙢𝙤𝙣𝙮; 𝙞𝙩 𝙬𝙖𝙨 𝙖 𝙘𝙚𝙡𝙚𝙗𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙤𝙛 𝙝𝙤𝙬 𝙛𝙖𝙧 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙮 𝙝𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙚.

From the first day of classes to the final requirements; from sleepless nights to moments of doubt, every step has led them to this very moment. On September 14, 2026, another chapter came to a close as Pampanga State University gathered to honor the graduates of the College of Arts and Sciences, alongside graduates from other colleges, who have successfully completed their academic journey.

The College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) proudly celebrates its graduates from BS Biology, BS Environmental Science, BS Statistics, and BS Mathematics. The memorable commencement took place at the Dr. Ernesto T. Nicdao Sports Center (University Gymnasium), marking the culmination of countless hours spent studying, completing requirements, attending laboratory classes, reviewing data and research, preparing for fieldwork, and overcoming the many challenges that come with college life.

Nevertheless, they have come so far — carrying with them the lessons, memories, and experiences that shaped their years in college. What once began with uncertainty has now become a journey they can look back on with pride and gratitude.

To read is to fly, as we write we soar high!

Letters arent just simple ink scribbled on paper, perhaps they are doors to places we've never been or windows into lives we've never seen. Yet, they can also be mirrors pertaining our own experiences, giving us solace, hope, and affirmation of feelings. Every word is a map for knowledge, and every road leads to growth and understanding.

As we celebrate this year's International Literacy Day, let us remind ourselves the importance of reading and writing, not as simple skills but as a stable rhythm for a progressive world, as honing these abilities is our right in the matter of our dignity and human connectivity. As we turn the page, literacy can also be in the digital realm. A whole new space molded by online access and algorithms, we practice to read, write, and think critically.

Championed literacy gives voice to the marginalized, ensuring all stifled stories to be known and muffled voices to be heard. Every written or typed words, let us build a future where we don't merely read the world, but let's create one with true comprehension and expression.

𝙃𝙞𝙣𝙙𝙞 𝙡𝙖𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙣𝙜 𝙥𝙖𝙜𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙞 𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙪𝙡𝙤𝙣𝙜 𝙖𝙮 𝙢𝙖𝙮 𝙠𝙖𝙨𝙖𝙢𝙖𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙞𝙜.

Perhaps, we’re often taught that when we need help, we simply have to ask for it — 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐟 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐧𝐨 𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐫 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰𝐬 𝐡𝐨𝐰?

We all fight battles of our own. But some people have been quietly fighting battles they can’t explain — fears that keep returning, memories that refuse to grow quiet, and pain that lingers long after it was supposed to leave. And perhaps, that’s why it can be cruel to promise, “𝐈𝐭 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐩𝐚𝐬𝐬,” to someone who has spent so long waiting for the ache to finally loosen its hold.

Because most of the time, they don’t need promises that everything will be okay, they simply need someone willing to listen; to stay; to be their “𝐤𝐚𝐤𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐢.”

So this 𝙎𝙪𝙞𝙘𝙞𝙙𝙚 𝙋𝙧𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙈𝙤𝙣𝙩𝙝, may we learn to look beyond words — to notice the silence; the distance; the smiles that seem a little too practiced.

And instead of asking them to explain a pain they have spent so long trying to understand themselves, may we simply become a presence willing to say, “𝐇𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐢 𝐦𝐨 𝐤𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐩𝐚𝐬𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐥𝐚𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐦𝐚𝐠-𝐢𝐬𝐚.”

At sa mundong puno ng ingay, nawa’y matuto tayong makinig — 𝙨𝙖𝙥𝙖𝙜𝙠𝙖𝙩 𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙙𝙞 𝙡𝙖𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙣𝙜 𝙥𝙖𝙜𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙞 𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙪𝙡𝙤𝙣𝙜 𝙖𝙮 𝙢𝙖𝙮 𝙠𝙖𝙨𝙖𝙢𝙖𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙞𝙜.

‎Ang kabayanihan ay hindi lamang nakasulat sa mga aklat ng ating kasaysayan. Nabubuhay rin ito sa bawat isa, sa mga g**o na walang sawang nagtuturo, sa mga magsasakang walang sawang yumuyuko sa ilalim ng tirik na tirik na araw, o kahit maging sa mga manggawang handang maglingkod ng tapat at may paninindigan.

‎Ngayong Araw ng mga Bayani, yumuyuko tayo at ginugunita ang bawat mga pilipinong buong tapang na tumindig hindi lamang para sa ating bayan, hindi lamang inisip ang kanilang sariling ginhawa at kapakanan, bagkus ay inialay ang kanilang buhay, pawis, at dugo upang tayo lamang ay maging malaya. Kanilang ipinamana ang katapangan, kasabay ng hamong pag ibig sa bayan at bawat mamamayan.

‎Hindi kailangan ng anumang tabak o digmaan para maging isang bayani. Kailangan lamang ng pusong handang maglingkod at kumilos para sa mga nakararami. Sa bawat kabutihang ating ginagawa, nabubuhay muli ang diwa ng kabayanihang sa mga pilipino ay hinding hindi mawawala.

Inaasahan ang patuloy na malakas na pag-ulan ngayong linggo. Naglabas ang Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) ng Red Rainfall Warning sa buong lalawigan ng Pampanga dulot ng Habagat at ng masamang panahon. Dahil dito, mataas ang banta ng matinding pagbaha (flash flood) at landslide, lalo na sa mga mababababang lugar. Hinihimok ang lahat na manatiling alerto, ihanda ang mga emergency kit, panatilihing fully charged ang mga mobile phone, at huwag kailanman sumubok na tumawid sa mga baha o umaagos na tubig.

Sa mga panahong tulad nito, habang mabilis na tumataas ang tubig at nanganganib ang buhay at kabuhayan ng marami, ating sisihin ang mga taong nagbulsa at nang-kurakot sa pondo ng mga flood control project. Habang nagdurusa ang mamamayan sa perwisyo ng baha, nananatiling paalala ito sa kahalagahan ng pananagutan at tapat na paglilingkod. Manatili po tayong ligtas, alerto, at kritikal sa ating paligid, mga Kababayan.

Ngayong 𝑨𝒈𝒐𝒔𝒕𝒐 21, ginugunita natin si dating Senador 𝗕𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗼 "𝗡𝗶𝗻𝗼𝘆" 𝗔𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗻𝗼 𝗝𝗿 , na ang pagpaslang sa kanya noong 1983 ay hindi lamang nagdulot ng pagluluksa sa buong bansa, kundi nagmulat at nagpasiklab din sa panawagan ng sambayanan para sa pagbabago.

Mula sa trahedyang nagtangkang magpatahimik sa isang tinig, isinilang ang mas malakas na tinig ng pagkakaisa. Ang kanyang pagkamatay ay naging isa sa mga mitsa na nagbuklod sa mga Pilipino at nagbigay-daan sa makasaysayang 1986 𝑷𝒆𝒐𝒑𝒍𝒆 𝑷𝒐𝒘𝒆𝒓 𝑹𝒆𝒗𝒐𝒍𝒖𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏.

Ang kanyang 𝒃𝒖𝒉𝒂𝒚 at 𝒔𝒂𝒌𝒓𝒊𝒑𝒊𝒔𝒚𝒐 ay nagsisilbing paalala na ang tunay na pagbabago ay hindi lamang nakasalalay sa iisang tao, kundi sa tapang ng isang sambayanang handang manindigan para sa kalayaan, demokrasya, at karapatan ng bawat Pilipino.

Sa paggunita sa 𝗡𝗶𝗻𝗼𝘆 𝗔𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗻𝗼 𝗗𝗮𝘆, hindi lamang natin inaalala ang isang lider na buong tapang na bumalik sa bayan at nanindigan para sa demokrasya, kundi binibigyang-halaga rin natin ang diwa ng pagkakaisa at paninindigang iniwan niya sa bawat Pilipino.

Nawa'y magsilbi itong paalala sa atin na ang kasaysayan ay hindi lamang dapat alalahanin, kundi dapat ding maging gabay sa paghubog ng isang mas makatarungan at malayang kinabukasan.
