𝐋𝐑𝐂 𝐓𝐑𝐈𝐕𝐈𝐀: Highlighting, fascinating and informative facts
about various celebrations from UPHSD-LRC Molino Campus.

Labor Day in the Philippines, observed every May 1, honors the contributions of workers and has roots in the global labor movement advocating fair wages and safe working conditions. The first recorded Labor Day event in the country took place in 1903, when workers gathered to call for better labor rights during the early American colonial period. Today, it remains a national holiday that highlights the role of labor in economic and social development. A notable fact is that Labor Day is celebrated on the same date in many countries worldwide, reflecting its shared international origins tied to workers’ movements in the late 19th century.
