UNIVERSITY ADVISORY ON FLEXIBLE WORK ARRANGEMENT (FWA)
AND NEW WORK SCHEDULE
Pursuant to DOLE Department Advisory No. 2, Series of 2009 and Memorandum Circular No. 114, Series of 2026, the University adopts Flexible Work Arrangements (FWA) in response to operational efficiency and rising fuel costs.
The University shall implement:
โข Compressed Work Week Arrangement
โข Flexible Learning (LCP)
Under the Compressed Work Week Arrangement, the work week may be reduced to less than six (6) days while maintaining the required forty-eight (48) hours per week, not exceeding twelve (12) hours per day.
NEW WORK SCHEDULE
1. FOR NON-TEACHING PERSONNEL:
***WORK WILL BE FROM MONDAY TO FRIDAY: 8:00 AM-12 NOON
1:00 PM-5:00 PM
***SATURDAY- NO WORK FOR DIFFERENT OFFICES
2. FOR TEACHING PERSONNEL & CLASSES
A. FOR BASIC EDUCATION; UNDERGRADUATE &
GRADUATE SCHOOL
* MONDAY TO THURSDAY โ FACE-TO-FACE CLASSES
* FRIDAY โ ONLINE CLASSES
* LABORATORY CLASSES ARE PURE FACE-TO-FACE, IN
CASE LABORATORY CLASS FALLS ON A FRIDAY OR
SATURDAY. MAKE SURE TO CHANGE THE SCHEDULE
THAT WILL FALL ON A MONDAY TO THURSDAY.
* SATURDAY โ ONLINE CLASSES
B. NSTP
*LECTURES ARE TO BE CONDUCTED ONLINE
C. SEMINARS & ACTIVITIES (FACE-TO-FACE) MAY BE
SCHEDULED DAYS BEFORE THE SCHEDULED DATE OF
SAID ACTIVITY
D. ALL MAJOR EXAMINATIONS & PERIODICAL EXAMINATIONS
ARE FACE-TO-FACE ONLY.
E. EXCEPTION: PRACTICES OF PERFORMING ARTS, IF
DEEMED NECESSARY, ESPECIALLY IF THERE IS
COMPETITION.
ACCESS TO SCHOOL PREMISES
1. Only non-teaching personnel are allowed to enter and report to the school premises on Fridays.
2. Teaching personnel shall conduct classes in accordance with the approved modality (face-to-face or online) and are not required to report on-site unless officially scheduled for face-to-face classes, laboratory sessions, examinations, or authorized academic activities.
3. Entry to the campus shall be strictly monitored by the School Guard on Duty.
4. Unauthorized entry of teaching personnel, students, or visitors shall not be permitted without prior written approval from the Office of the President/Administration.
5. The Security Office is directed to strictly enforce this policy and report any violations to the Human Resource Office for appropriate action.
6. Non-compliance with this directive shall be subject to existing institutional policies and disciplinary procedures.
EFFECTIVITY AND IMPLEMENTATION
This Advisory shall take effect on April 6, 2026 and shall remain in force until further notice.
SUSPENSION OF INTRAMURALS AND OTHER RELATED ACTIVITIES
Please be informed that the Intramurals scheduled for this semester are hereby suspended. This decision was made by the Office of the President and was agreed upon by the Management and the BCU Employees Association after careful consideration of academic priorities, scheduling constraints, and overall student welfare.
