Behind every child welfare case lies a multifaceted reality that demands careful assessment, sound professional judgment, and a firm commitment to protection and care. In this regard, the ๐ฉ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ ๐บ๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ ๐บ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐พ๐๐๐ (๐ฉ๐บ๐บ๐พ) program of UM Bansalan College conducted a seminar entitled โ๐ญ๐๐๐ ๐ช๐๐๐ ๐๐ ๐ช๐๐๐: ๐ป๐๐ ๐พ๐๐๐ ๐๐ ๐ต๐ฎ๐ถ ๐บ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐พ๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ ๐ช๐๐๐๐

The seminar aimed to advance a clearer understanding of child welfare practice by bridging academic learning with real-world field experience. ๐ด๐. ๐ด๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ฑ๐๐ ๐ช. ๐ป๐๐๐๐๐๐, ๐น๐บ๐พ, served as the resource speaker, drawing from her professional experience in child welfare services. She explained how cases are assessed, managed, and appropriately referred within practice settings. Adoption-related considerations were also discussed, along with the development of critical judgment in handling complex child welfare concerns.
The discussion further extended to the protection and promotion of childrenโs rights, as well as approaches to managing highly sensitive cases with professionalism, discretion, and emotional resilience. This was further enriched through an open forum, where aspiring social workers from the first- and third-year levels raised questions and shared insights, thereby deepening their understanding of the topic.
In retrospect, the seminar served as a meaningful learning experience that bridged theoretical foundations with the realities of child welfare practice, reinforcing the role of social workers in safeguarding children and ensuring that their best interests remain paramount.
