Best practices were shared, and strategies were explored as BPSU warmly welcomed delegates from the Central Mindanao Colleges (CMC) Office of the Graduate School Education during a benchmarking visit held on November 28, 2025. The activity served as a dynamic platform for both institutions in learning from each otherโs strengths and broaden their commitment to advancing the quality of graduate education.
The CMC Delegation, led by Dr. Gemma N. Kintanar, Dean of the CMC Graduate School of Education, engaged in meaningful discussions focused on enhancing graduate studies programs, innovative research methodologies, and field-based experiential learning strategies, reflecting a common pursuit of academic excellence.
BPSU officials, headed by University President Dr. Ruby B. Santos-Matibag, formally welcomed the visiting institution with an inspiring message that emphasizes the universityโs ongoing initiatives in research development, quality assurance, and graduate education enhancement. Joining her were Dr. Ariel A. Bongco, Dean of the BPSU Graduate School, and Dr. Jesselyn C. Mortejo, Director of the Quality Assurance Office, who also shared insights into BPSUโs academic thrusts and systems that support effective graduate-level instruction.
A major highlight was an in-depth lecture on research writing and academic publishing delivered by Dr. John Ryan C. Dizon, Director of the Intellectual Property and Technology Business Management Center, along with Prof. Lucky Sonny A. Ligsanan, Chairperson of the Peninsula Research Ethics Committee. Their session provided practical insights into producing quality scholarly work, followed by an open forum that encouraged active idea exchange.
The benchmarking visit concluded on an uplifting note, reinforcing the mutual commitment of BPSU and CMC to nurture academic innovation, strengthen collaborative ties, and continuously raise the standards of graduate education. The fruitful dialogue and knowledge-sharing activities reflect both institutionsโ shared belief that strong partnerships and collective learning serve as vital foundations for shaping future-ready scholars, researchers, and academic leaders.
