A glimpse of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences Onboarding, held on August 19, 2026, at the VSU Gymnasium.

The event welcomed students to a new academic year through faculty introductions, meaningful discussions, and important reminders. The Department Heads of the Department of Arts, Languages, and Literature (DALL) and the Department of Philosophy and Social Sciences (DPSS) introduced their respective faculty members, giving students the opportunity to become familiar with the educators who will guide them throughout their academic journey.

The onboarding also featured discussions on SOGIE+SC, admission processes, and other important matters to help students better understand the universityโ€™s policies, services, and expectations.

Hereโ€™s to a meaningful academic year filled with learning, growth, and new opportunities!

The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences will conduct its Onboarding Program tomorrow at 1:00 PM at the VSU Gymnasium.

Attendance is mandatory for all FHSS students. The onboarding will provide important information about our department .

Students who fail to attend will be subject to the monetary fine implemented through their respective course organizations.

The launch of ๐—ฃ๐—ฟ๐—ผ๐—ท๐—ฒ๐—ฐ๐˜ ๐—ž๐—ฎ๐—ฝ๐—ฎ๐˜๐—ถ๐—ฑ on August 14 was a resounding success. After a long wait, this student-led initiative finally came to life, aiming to help ABELS, Literature, and Philosophy freshmen navigate university life through the guidance and support of assigned upperclassmen mentors.

The day began with a mentor orientation, where mentors were introduced to the project's goals and their roles in guiding and supporting their mentees throughout their academic journey. This was followed by the mentor-mentee matching activity, where freshmen randomly selected their mentors by drawing lots before registering.

More than just an event, Project Kapatid was a gathering of Humanistas coming together to build connections and create a stronger community.

Indeed, it was a successful beginning made possible by the collective effort, enthusiasm, and unity of the Humanista community.
