Pursuant to Executive Order No. 65, classes and work in both NVSU campuses are suspended today, September 1, 2026.

In view of this development, the previously announced work-from-home arrangement is likewise suspended. Nonetheless, I encourage our officials, faculty members, and staff to keep communication lines open and remain reachable through available online platforms to ensure that essential University services may still be extended, whenever necessary.

Let us continue to prioritize our safety while remaining committed to serving our stakeholders during this time.

Pursuant to Executive Order No. 65 issued by the Office of the Governor of Nueva Vizcaya, classes at all levels and work in all government offices within the province are suspended today, September 1, 2026, in conformity with Office of the President Memorandum Circular No. 133 and in anticipation of inclement weather brought by persistent heavy rainfall associated with the enhanced southwest monsoon.

Accordingly, classes and work in both campuses of Nueva Vizcaya State University (NVSU) are likewise suspended today, September 1, 2026.

It was truly a humbling experience to speak before distinguished experts, scientists, and researchers as keynote speaker at the 10th Annual Basic Research Symposium. I am deeply grateful to the National Research Council of the Philippines (NRCP) for the opportunity to share insights on the vital role of basic research in strengthening agriculture, food security, and our nation's resilience.

As I emphasized in my message, research finds its greatest value when it reaches and benefits our communities. May we continue to foster collaboration across disciplines and ensure that science translates into meaningful solutions for our farmers, our people, and our future.

We carry not just the NVSU spirit, but also the Philippines, proudly representing our university and nation at the ASEAN Month Celebration in Region II in Tuguegarao City, Cagayan.

By participating in the “Parade of Colors” ASEAN Costume and Cultural Showcase and the “Flavors of ASEAN” Cultural Cuisine Exhibit, we embraced the vibrant cultures and traditions that make ASEAN a community united in diversity.

This was made possible through the collaborative efforts of the College of Human Ecology, Student Affairs Services, and the University Culture and the Arts Office, whose dedication and support helped prepare our delegation for the cultural showcase and cuisine exhibit.
