LOOK | Pre-Departure Orientation Seminar (PDOS) for BHM Student Interns bound for Thailand 🇹🇭
The BiPSU International Affairs Office (IAO), in coordination with the Student Internship Abroad Program (SIAP) Coordinator, successfully conducted the Pre-Departure Orientation Seminar (PDOS) for the Bachelor of Hotel Management (BHM) Student Interns of the School of Management and Entrepreneurship, in preparation for their Student Internship Abroad Program (SIAP) in Thailand, scheduled from January to July 2026.
Held on December 16, 2025, from 1:00–5:00 PM at the BiPSU Hostel Conference Hall, the PDOS aimed to equip the student-interns with essential knowledge, skills, and cultural awareness prior to their overseas internship.
Ms. Chiejheaca Jehanna Yu, Director of the International Affairs Office, discussed the overview and objectives of SIAP, program activities and expectations, rules and regulations, interns’ do’s and don’ts, and proper conduct and professionalism in representing BiPSU abroad.
Dr. Ryan Teofel Arpon delivered a meaningful discussion on Thailand’s culture, highlighting cultural norms and traditions, social etiquette and values, cultural sensitivity, and practical tips for adapting to the Thai work and social environment.
Meanwhile, SIAP Coordinator Mrs. Eden Calvez shared important details based on her site visit to the partner industry, including workplace policies, rules and regulations, logistics, accommodation, and other essential internship-related arrangements.
This activity underscores BiPSU’s commitment to preparing globally competitive, culturally sensitive, and professionally equipped student-interns as they embark on their international learning journey.
