The Provincial Health Office, through the Provincial Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit, released an advisory dated May 27, 2025, on the prevention and control of Monkeypox (mpox) in the province.

This is after increasing cases of mpox in other provinces. While the same has not been noted in Bohol, all rural health units, hospitals, and other health facilities are requested to intensify information and education communication campaigns on mpox prevention, highlighting the importance of early detection, consultation, isolation, immediate reporting, and avoiding crowded places.

By staying informed and acting early, we can protect our families and communities from potential outbreaks. Let’s work together to keep Bohol mpox-free.
