Central Luzon continues to gain ground in the global higher education landscape as six (6) Higher Education Institutions from the region have attained Reporter Status in the Times Higher Education (THE) Asia University Rankings 2026—doubling from three (3) HEIs in 2025.

This significant increase reflects the region’s steady progress in academic visibility, institutional development, and international engagement. It also signals that more HEIs in Central Luzon are stepping onto the global stage and contributing to the broader discourse of higher education in Asia.

This achievement directly aligns with the Commission's ACHIEVE Agenda, particularly Inclusive and Impact-Driven Internationalization, underscoring the commitment of Philippine higher education institutions to expand global linkages and strengthen international competitiveness.

CHEDRO III commends these institutions for this noteworthy milestone and encourages all HEIs in the region to continue striving for excellence and thriving in the international landscape. This achievement marks a meaningful step forward in strengthening Region III’s presence and recognition worldwide.

𝐁𝐮𝐥𝐒𝐔 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐬 𝐁𝐢𝐝 𝐅𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐰𝐞𝐥𝐥 𝐢𝐧 𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝

A heartfelt farewell ceremony was held today, March 27, at the Rayong Provincial Administration Organization (PAO) to honor the student interns participating in the Student Internship Abroad Program (SIAP). The event was graced by the presence of the Deputy Chief Executive of the Rayong PAO, Mr. Prasan Prueksachart, alongside Ajarns, School Directors, and the student interns from Bulacan State University.

Representatives from the four partner institutions: Anuban Taksin Rayong International School (ATRIS), Anuban Taksin Bankhai International School (ATBIS), Taksin Klaeng International School (TKIS), and Mathayom Taksin Rayong School (MTRS), also attended, making the occasion a meaningful gathering of academic leaders and future educators. The ceremony served as a celebration of the interns’ dedication, growth, and invaluable contributions throughout their stay in Thailand.

Each team leader: Teacher JD, Teacher Sophia, Teacher Shawn, and Teacher Mark, delivered heartwarming farewell messages, sharing reflections on their teaching experiences, cultural immersion, and the bonds formed within their respective school communities.

The student interns likewise expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to teach and learn abroad, acknowledging the support of their mentors, partner schools, and the Rayong PAO.

Meanwhile, they are set to return to the Philippines on March 31.

CAPACITY BUILDING PROFESSIONALSEMINAR:
Refining the skills of SIAP Student Interns

The student interns of the Student Internship Abroad Program (SIAP) convened at Anuban Taksin Rayong International School (ATRIS) yesterday, February 11, for a professional seminar titled "Phonetics and Pronunciation in Practice: Applying the International Phonetic Alphabet."

The event focused on the practical application of linguistic tools to ensure high standards of instruction and communicative clarity within international academic settings.

Resource speaker Mrs. Thasanee Sattayamas led the session, providing interns with intensive training on mastering the IPA for classroom use. This initiative is part of the ongoing professional development for SIAP participants, aimed at equipping future educators with the specialized skills necessary for global educational environments.
