Central Luzon continues to gain ground in the global higher education landscape as six (6) Higher Education Institutions from the region have attained Reporter Status in the Times Higher Education (THE) Asia University Rankings 2026โdoubling from three (3) HEIs in 2025.
This significant increase reflects the regionโs steady progress in academic visibility, institutional development, and international engagement. It also signals that more HEIs in Central Luzon are stepping onto the global stage and contributing to the broader discourse of higher education in Asia.
This achievement directly aligns with the Commission's ACHIEVE Agenda, particularly Inclusive and Impact-Driven Internationalization, underscoring the commitment of Philippine higher education institutions to expand global linkages and strengthen international competitiveness.
CHEDRO III commends these institutions for this noteworthy milestone and encourages all HEIs in the region to continue striving for excellence and thriving in the international landscape. This achievement marks a meaningful step forward in strengthening Region IIIโs presence and recognition worldwide.
