Early childhood literacy and numeracy development remains a vital foundation for learners’ lifelong academic achievement and success.
Join us as Mr. JERECO F. CULTURA presents his Dissertation Final Defense for the degree Doctor of Education major in Educational Management. His study explores the key instructional drivers and support systems shaping kindergarten learners’ emergent literacy and basic numeracy outcomes through a Mixed Methods Grounded Theory exploration.
Grounded in Mixed Method Grounded Theory (MM-GT) and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM), the study highlights the significant roles of Explicit Skill Teaching, Concrete Scaffolding, Interactive Play Strategy, and Technology-Enhanced Teaching in strengthening learner readiness, home learning support, and instructional support systems. The research further introduces the KIDS Model (Kindergarten Instructional Drivers and Systems Model), emphasizing how instructional practices and collaborative support systems collectively influence kindergarten learners’ literacy and numeracy development.
