Congratulations, Prof. Maria Karmela C. Del Rosario!

Recognized as one of the best presenters at the 3rd International PhD Symposium in Nursing held on November 24–25, 2025 at Sotejo Hall, UP Manila College of Nursing.

Her dissertation, “A Sequential Explanatory Mixed-Methods Study on Cultural Competemility of Transnational Filipino Nurses,” introduces the groundbreaking concept of cultural competemility—the blend of cultural competence and cultural humility—highlighting how Filipino nurses deliver ethical, compassionate, and culturally grounded care in multicultural settings. Her study validates this emerging framework through rigorous mixed-methods analysis and offers practical applications for nursing education, policy, and global workforce development.

This achievement strengthens the visibility of Filipino nurse scholars and aligns strongly with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):

SDG 3 (Good Health & Well-Being): advancing culturally responsive global healthcare

SDG 4 (Quality Education): contributing innovative research to nursing education

SDG 8 (Decent Work & Economic Growth): supporting ethical and empowered nurse mobility

EXCLUSIVELY FOR ENROLLMENT TRANSACTIONS!

WUP will open on two consecutive Saturdays — November 15 and 22, 2025 — to accommodate enrollees for the Second Semester of Academic Year 2025–2026.

The one-stop enrollment site is available at the University Gymnasium.

Classes will begin on November 17, 2025.

ALL OTHER UNIVERSITY TRANSACTIONS WILL BE ACCOMMODATED FROM MONDAY TO FRIDAY.
