The Chronicle cartoonists clinch poster making contest title

August 18, 2015 - The Chronicle Head Cartoonist Maria Rachelle Pajarillo and junior cartoonists Jassel Ann Mateo and Charrie Dofredo bagged the poster making contest titles in the recently held Buwan ng Wika with the theme "Filipino: Wika ng pagkakaisa" at the GSC Quadrangle.

Pajarillo, a 4th year BEEd-Preschool student of the College of Education claimed the 1st place while Mateo, also from CoEd and Dofredo, from CAHP landed in the 2nd and 3rd places, respectively.

Pajarillo got 91.6% while Mateo got 90.9% and Dofredo got 89.6%.

Be IBA wins Presidential, VP posts

Vince Cedric Nolasco, 3rd year Bachelor of Science in Radiologic Technology student from Be Inspired By Action (Be IBA) Party won the Presidential position in the recently held Supreme Student Council election.

Nolasco, along with his runningmate Dhanica Faith Castillo will hold the Presidential and Vice Presidential position in the SSC for the academic year 2015-2016.

Nolasco already served for SSC for two years as Secretary while Castillo served as a Representative for a year.

5 candidates from Be IBA Party filled the positions in the Student Council while the remaining 6 are from LIYAB Party.

The entire GSC studentry is eyeing to have a more productive Student council this year.

19 out 56 passed the qualifying examination for The Chronicle held last July 9 at the F & B Laboratory.

The exam was divided into 2 parts. The first part is the Grammar test. They were given a 30-item objective type test. The second part is the Writing test.

The Chronicle staffers are eyeing to make The Chronicle more productive this year.
