NEUST Holds Pre-Departure Orientation Seminar for Faculty and Student Exchange Program with Vietnam Partner University
Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology, through its College of Education and Office of International Affairs (OIA), successfully conducted the Pre-Departure Orientation Seminar for the Faculty and Student Exchange Programs in partnership with D**g Nai Technology University, Vietnam, on April 30, 2026 at 2:00 PM.
The activity aimed to prepare the official delegates for their upcoming international academic exchange engagement by providing important guidelines, expectations, and cultural orientation prior to their departure.
The program formally opened with the singing of the Philippine National Anthem followed by an opening prayer led by Prof. Ma. Blesilda H. Agapito, Head of MRSP. Opening remarks were delivered by Dr. Andrea P. Adigue, Head of the BSED Program, emphasizing the importance of internationalization initiatives in strengthening global competence among students and faculty members.
One of the highlights of the seminar was the presentation of the official delegates conducted by Dr. Alice T. Rivera, Head of the BEED/BSNED Programs. Ms. Pauline Joy G. Tardaguila was introduced as the official faculty exchange delegate, while Ms. Roselyn Canega was presented as the student exchange participant representing the university.
An inspirational message was delivered by Jo Neil T. Peria, Dean of the College of Education, who encouraged the delegates to become ambassadors of Filipino excellence, culture, and academic professionalism as they participate in the international exchange program.
The orientation and briefing on the Faculty and Student Exchange Programs were facilitated by Atty. Eric G. Claudio, PhD, Director of the Office of International Affairs. The discussion focused on travel protocols, academic responsibilities, cultural adaptation, and the significance of global academic collaboration in higher education.
Closing remarks were given by Dr. Marilyn P. Soliman, Head of the BTLED/BSIE Programs, who expressed her support and best wishes to the delegates as they embark on their academic journey abroad.
The event concluded with the singing of the NEUST March and was hosted by Mr. Darwin M. Andres as the emcee.
The seminar reflects NEUSTโs continuing commitment to internationalization, academic excellence, and the development of globally competitive educators and learners through meaningful international partnerships and exchange opportunities.
