Due to the continuing unstable weather conditions brought by Typhoon Neneng and the prevailing effects of the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat), pursuant to Memorandum Circular No. 131, directive by MalacaΓ±ang and Gov. Sol Aragones, classes at all levels in public and private schools in Laguna, tomorrow, August 20, 2026 are suspended.

To ensure the safety of all students, classes will continue through online synchronous learning. Students are advised to coordinate with their respective instructors for further instructions regarding their classes and academic requirements.

Due to the unstable weather conditions, Gov. Sol Aragones announced a suspension of classes at all levels from both public and private schools tomorrow, August 19, 2026.

To ensure the safety of the students, it is announced that classes will be shifted to online synchronous learning. For the new examination dates for college Perpetualites, kindly wait for further announcement from the university.

Following the directive from MalacaΓ±ang, all classes in private and public our suspended tomorrow, Tuesday, August 18, 2026 due to the prevailing heavy rainfall brought by the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat).

In accordance with the announcement, classes and on-campus academic activities today are advised to shift to alternative learning modalities to ensure the continuity of learning while prioritizing everyone’s safety.

Following the directive from MalacaΓ±ang, UPHSD-Calamba announces the suspension of classes effective today, August 17, 2026, at 12:00 PM, due to the prevailing weather conditions brought by the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat).

In accordance with the directive, all classes and on-campus academic activities will be suspended and are advised to shift to alternative learning modalities to ensure the continuity of learning while prioritizing everyone’s safety.

Ipinagdiriwang tuwing buwan ng Agosto ang Buwan ng Wika. Ngayong taon, kalakip nito ang temang angkop sa modernong henerasyon, β€œWikang Filipino at AI: Kasangkapan sa Pananaliksik at Tulay sa Yaman ng Impormasyon.”

Napapanahong usapin ang Artificial Intelligence (AI) dahil katuwang na ito ng halos lahat ng Pilipino, mula akademya, negosyo, hanggang sa pang-araw-araw na buhay. Ngunit karamihan ay hindi mulat sa wastong paggamit ng kasangkapang ito upang mas paglinangin pa ang wikang Filipino.

Ang nakakaalarmang pagkalat ng maling impormasyon sa social media ay isang epekto ng hindi etikal at maling paggamit ng AI. Ayon sa resulta ng surbey ng Pulse Asia 2026, sa 85% na gumagamit ng social media na nasa wastong gulang na, nasa 41% ang nagsasabing depende sa dami o taas ng engagement ng isang post ang posibilidad nilang paniwalaan ito, at 44% naman ang hindi sigurado.

Bawat Pilipino ay may kalayaang magpahayag ng kanilang sariling opinyon at haka-haka, ngunit dapat pa rin itong idaan sa wastong pananaliksik upang ang mga mahahalagang impormasyong ipinakakalat ay hindi nauuwi sa walang basehang katotohanan na siyang nag-uugat sa pagkalat ng maling naratibo at impormasyon.

Malaking tulong ang AI sa modernong panahon na kung saan namamayagpag ang teknolohiya. Ngunit hindi dapat ito ginagamit bilang pamalit sa natural na malikhaing kaisipan ng tao, at gamitin lamang ito bilang isang kasangkapan.

After the suspension of classes due to heavy rainfall intensified by the Habagat. As announced by Governor Sol Aragones, classes at all levels from public to private across Laguna will resume tomorrow, August 12, 2026.

In line with the announcement, UPHSD-Calamba will resume regular classes and on-campus learning activities.
