Starting October with faith, unity, and prayer. ✨

Today, right after our flag ceremony, our community came together to pray the Holy Rosary as we welcome the month of the Holy Rosary. May Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary guide, protect, and bless us throughout this month and beyond. πŸŒΊπŸ“Ώ

A warm and spirited welcome to San Sebastian College - Recoletos, Laguna!

We are deeply honored and thrilled to officially welcome our new College President, Rev. Fr. Romeo Ben A. Potencio Jr., OAR, as he steps into this new chapter of leadership, faith, and academic excellence for our Sebastinian community.

Joining us in this special occasion was Fr. Henry Santiago, OAR, Vice President for Finance of SSCR-Manila, showing true Augustinian solidarity and brotherhood across our campuses.

May God grant Fr. Pots wisdom, strength, and joy as he guides SSCR-Laguna toward greater heights. Join us in offering our prayers and warmest greetings to our new leader! ✨

Bravo Baste!

As we celebrate the Feast of π™π™šπ™–π™¨π™© 𝙀𝙛 π™Žπ™–π™£ π™‡π™€π™§π™šπ™£π™―π™€ 𝙍π™ͺπ™žπ™―, we are invited to look beyond the historical weight of his martyrdom and reflect on the quiet, everyday choices that define our own faith. San Lorenzo reminds us that holiness is rarely forged in grand, effortless moments; rather, it is built in the ordinary struggles, the difficult decisions, and the quiet moments of surrender when we are tested. His ultimate sacrifice wasn't just a sudden act of bravery, but the final, unwavering outcome of a life that chose fidelity to God one step at a time.

Today, let his profound witness challenge us to examine where we are called to stand firm in our own lives, families, and communities. May his courage inspire us to embrace our daily crosses with grace, trusting that even our simplest acts of love and integrity are meaningful offerings to God. San Lorenzo Ruiz, the first Filipino saint, pray for us that we may find the same quiet strength in our own journey. ✨

San Lorenzo Ruiz,

As Calamba observes JosΓ© Yulo Day, we look back at the enduring legacy of one of the city's most influential historical figures, former Chief Justice and House Speaker JosΓ© Yulo Sr. Born on September 24, 1894, Yulo carved out a remarkable career across all three branches of Philippine governance, serving with distinction as Secretary of Justice, a legislator, and head of the Supreme Court during a turbulent period in the nation's history.

Beyond his extensive public service in national politics, his profound impact is deeply rooted locally through his family's stewardship of the historic Canlubang Sugar Estate, which helped shape the industrial and community landscape of modern Calamba.

Enacted under Republic Act No. 7851, this special non-working holiday is more than just a break from our regular routinesβ€”it is a meaningful reminder of leadership, public commitment, and community building. Today, as we honor a visionary statesman whose life intertwined with the growth of our city, let us take a moment to appreciate the rich history that continues to define our identity as CalambeΓ±os.
