CIT University in the National Top 10 versus 42 teams🐾

Congratulations to our BSME - Mechatronics students Earl Lawrence A. Atienza, Joshua Andre Mari V. Medado, and Johnny D. Paslon for finishing in the Top 10 of the Quiz Bowl Competition at the 16th PSME Students’ National Conference on October 14, 2026.

They went up against mechanical engineering students from schools across the country and held their own all the way to the final rounds. That takes long hours of review and a lot of nerve on competition day.

Thank you as well to their coach, Engr. Joshua D. Montenegro, for guiding and preparing the team.

Congratulations to the CIT-U Department of Industrial Engineering for winning Top 2 and Top 3 Best Research Paper at the 12th IE Research Conference and 21st PIIE National Congress, held October 08–09, 2026, in Makati City! 🏆

A special shoutout to Dr. Antoniette M. Almaden, who was also named Top 2 Best Presenter 🌟, and to presenters Engr. Kirk Lile A. Ramirez and Engr. Rey Ann E. Bande.

The CIT University Department of Industrial Engineering is proud to share that our faculty researchers brought home two Best Research Paper awards at the 21st PIIE National Congress and 12th Industrial Engineering Research Conference. The event was held on October 08–09, 2026, at Makati Diamond Residences, Makati City, with the theme "Adoption and Scaling Digital Transformation Across the Enterprise to Unlock Operational Excellence."
