๐๐ฎ๐ ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ญ ๐๐, ๐๐๐๐ โ The College of Allied Health Sciences - Department of Nursing BSN 1 - A5 and BSN 1 - A6 experienced the ๐๐ป๐ฎ๐๐ผ๐บ๐ฎ๐ด๐ฒ ๐ฆ๐ถ๐บ๐๐น๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป ๐ข๐ฟ๐ถ๐ฒ๐ป๐๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป in the Nursing Skills Laboratory featuring Cadaviz, a 3D Virtual Dissection Table, presented by Mr. Ian Nicolo.
Cadaviz features a large interactive screen that allows users to explore and virtually dissect the human body in three dimensions. Through its various tools and features, the technology demonstrates how advancements in digital learning are transforming nursing education, as well as the fields of allied health and medicine.
The orientation provided the students with an opportunity to explore the capabilities of Cadaviz firsthand. Guided by our esteemed Clinical Instructors; Mr. Ian Nicolo joined by Mr. Moneto F. Casagan, RN, Ms. Vicenta Carmelle Sanchez, RN, Mrs. Evangeline O. Raypan, RN, NSBO Adviser, and Mrs. Jessica V. Selloria, RN, MAN, Level III & IV Coordinator, the freshmen were introduced to the tableโs interactive features and learned how it can be utilized as an educational tool in studying human anatomy.
Cadaviz serves as an example of how technology and artificial intelligence are gradually becoming integrated into modern medical education. Traditionally, students have relied on physical cadavers, anatomical models, laboratory materials, and textbooks to understand the complexities of the human body.
With innovations such as virtual dissection technology, these traditional methods can now be complemented by immersive and interactive learning experiences.
As technology continues to evolve, education in medicine becomes more accessible, engaging, and dynamic. Tools such as Cadaviz not only enhance the way students understand anatomy but also offer a glimpse into the future of healthcare education, where technology and learning work hand in hand to prepare the next generation of healthcare professionals.
