𝐈𝐂𝐘𝐌𝐈 | 𝐅𝐑𝐎𝐌 𝐒𝐓𝐔𝐃𝐄𝐍𝐓 𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐂𝐄𝐑𝐍𝐒 𝐓𝐎 𝐈𝐍𝐒𝐓𝐈𝐓𝐔𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐀𝐋 𝐀𝐂𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍

The CNU Main–Supreme Student Council, through the 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗲 𝗼𝗻 𝗚𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀, received and consolidated concerns from students regarding instances of 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗿𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰 𝗯𝗼𝗼𝗸𝘀, 𝗺𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗹𝗲𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹𝘀.

In response, the Committee on Grievances prepared a 𝗡𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 detailing the concerns raised by students. The report was then forwarded by the CNU Main–SSC President to the 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗩𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗔𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗰 𝗔𝗳𝗳𝗮𝗶𝗿𝘀 (𝗢𝗩𝗣𝗔𝗔) for appropriate action.

Following the endorsement, the OVPAA issued 𝗖𝗡𝗨 𝗩𝗣𝗔𝗔 𝗔𝗱𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗡𝗼. 𝟭𝟬𝟳, 𝘀. 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, reminding faculty members to 𝗿𝗲𝗳𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗱𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗹𝘆 𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗹𝗲𝘀, 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹𝘀, 𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀. The advisory further provides that materials intended for purchase should be coordinated with the 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗜𝗚𝗣 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗲.

The CNU Main–SSC continues to monitor the implementation of the advisory, including concerns involving students who 𝗵𝗮𝗱 𝗮𝗹𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘆 𝗽𝗮𝗶𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹𝘀 𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗼 𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝗶𝘀𝘀𝘂𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲. The Council has likewise sought further clarification from the OVPAA regarding the appropriate action and possible remedies for affected students.

This is a reminder that 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗿𝗻𝘀 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗱, 𝗱𝗼𝗰𝘂𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗱, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗯𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻.

The CNU Main-SSC Committee on Grievances introduces the 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗲𝗱 𝗚𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗺, a platform designed to provide students with a safe, accessible, and proper avenue to raise their concerns. Through this form, concerns may be formally documented, reviewed, and endorsed to the appropriate offices for necessary action.

All submissions will be treated with strict confidentiality. Access to your grievance will solely be limited to your College Council's Committee on Grievances. Should your concern require action beyond your respective department or college, it will be properly referred to the CNU Main-SSC Committee on Grievances for further review, assistance, and action.

As we gear up for the opening of classes, we look forward to a safe, inclusive, and progressive academic year for every Normalite. Throughout the years, our student life has constantly evolved, and so should the policies that continue to shape it. The rules governing our day-to-day student life must reflect the lived realities, needs, and challenges that are faced by our very own Normalites. Through this review, we aim to identify outdated provisions, address policy gaps, and strengthen regulations to make campus guidelines that are able to support, protect, and empower our students.

By sharing your time, experiences, and recommendations, you contribute to building a student manual that truly serves its purpose — to uphold our student rights and amplify our student welfare. 📢 𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗡𝗦𝗣𝗔𝗥𝗘𝗡𝗖𝗬 𝗥𝗘𝗣𝗢𝗥𝗧 | 𝗨𝗡𝗜𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗦𝗜𝗧𝗬 𝗦𝗧𝗨𝗗𝗘𝗡𝗧 𝗖𝗢𝗨𝗡𝗖𝗜𝗟𝗦 𝗨𝗡𝗜𝗙𝗜𝗘𝗗 𝗗𝗢𝗡𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗗𝗥𝗜𝗩𝗘

As of 𝟭𝟮:𝟬𝟬 𝗻𝗼𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆, a total of ₱ 𝟭𝟰,𝟰𝟰𝟯.𝟵 in monetary donations has been received through the University Student Councils Unified Donation Drive for the communities affected by the 7.8-magnitude earthquake that struck General Santos yesterday morning.

We continue to accept donations, regardless of the amount, as every contribution will go a long way in supporting affected families and communities.
