365 DAYS OF LEADERSHIP
The First Year of Service, Excellence, and Transformation

365 days.
12 months.
Countless stories of service, challenges, milestones, and achievements.

A year ago, a new chapter began for the College of Industrial Technology, a chapter defined not only by leadership, but by service, collaboration, innovation, and a continuing commitment to excellence.

From strengthening INSTRUCTION and promoting quality teaching,
to advancing RESEARCH AND INNOVATION,
from extending the College’s knowledge, skills, and technologies to the COMMUNITY,
to expanding our horizons through INTERNATIONALIZATION and GLOBAL ENGAGEMENT every milestone represents the collective effort of the CIT family.

Behind every accomplishment are our faculty who teach, staff who serve, students who strive, and partners who collaborate.

The first 365 days also brought opportunities to celebrate the talents, skills, creativity, and achievements of our students from academic competitions and research showcases to College Days, cultural activities, sports, and other meaningful experiences that strengthened the spirit of unity and pride in Industrial Technology.

And beyond our borders, CIT continues to look toward a more connected and globally engaged future, embracing opportunities for international collaboration and exchange.

This video is more than a compilation of photographs and accomplishments.

It is a story of people.
A story of service.
A story of progress.
A story of CIT.

As one chapter closes, another begins.

365 DAYS DOWN.
THE JOURNEY CONTINUES.

With one college.
One vision.
One future.

CIT SHINES EVEN BRIGHTER.

🌾🔬 WHERE HERITAGE MEETS SCIENCE AND INNOVATION

A proud moment for Cagayan State University – Lasam Campus as Dean John Carlo L. Banan presented his research at the Exchange Program on Multidisciplinary and SDG-Oriented Research & Development hosted by the Institute of Bioproduct Development (IBD), Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM).

Entitled “FROM HERITAGE TO SCIENCE-BASED VALUE: Nutritional Composition, Microbial Quality, Sensory Characteristics and Bioscience-Based Market Potential of Lasam’s Traditional Tinupig,” the study puts a scientific lens on one of Lasam’s treasured traditional delicacies.

From Lasam to Malaysia, our local knowledge, culture, and research continue to reach beyond borders. 🇵🇭🇲🇾

A celebration of heritage. A pursuit of science. A step toward sustainable innovation. 🌏✨

Congratulations, Dean John Carlo L. Banan, for proudly representing CSU and showcasing the research potential of our local heritage on the international stage!

𝗡𝗘𝗪𝗦 | CIT Dean, student join UTM international exchange program

College of Industrial Technology (CIT) Dean Dr. John Carlo L. Banan and fourth-year CIT student Monica Vien M. Balisi represent Cagayan State University–Lasam as part of the 23-member CSU delegation participating in the Exchange Program on Multidisciplinary and SDG-Oriented Research and Development at the Institute of Bioproduct Development, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), from Aug. 16 to 21, 2026.

Banan joins the exchange to gain firsthand insights into how academic institutions translate research into practical applications, particularly those that can benefit communities.

“I hope to learn UTM’s innovative approaches to research, practical learning, and industry collaboration, especially how they turn research into products and community innovations,” Banan said.

Beyond gaining research insights, Banan sees the exchange as an avenue to strengthen ties between CSU and UTM through shared interests in agricultural research and innovation.

“I hope to build research collaborations with UTM, particularly in cacao research and product development. We also hope to introduce our cacao niche program and share our Filipino cacao products and innovations with Malaysian faculty, students, and researchers,” he added.

Meanwhile, Balisi views the exchange as an opportunity to gain experiences beyond the classroom while developing skills that can contribute to her future career.

“This exchange will broaden my knowledge, improve my skills, and give me an international perspective that will help me in my future career,” Balisi said.

She also sees the international setting as a chance to challenge her confidence and adaptability through new experiences and interactions.

“I want to challenge myself to communicate confidently with international students, try new experiences, and step outside my comfort zone,” she added.

The CSU delegation is composed of five faculty members and 18 students participating in the exchange, which focuses on multidisciplinary research, sustainable development, and academic collaboration.

Through Banan and Balisi’s participation, CSU-Lasam gains an avenue for knowledge-sharing, potential research partnerships, and cross-cultural engagement, while bringing the campus’ research and cacao initiatives into a broader international academic setting.

BALITA | 𝗖𝗜𝗧 𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗴𝘂𝗻𝗮 𝘀𝗮 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗯𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗮𝗴𝗯𝗮𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗮

“Very last minute na nabuo yung group namin.
