ROTC Orientation Conducted at Zamboanga del Sur Provincial Government College – Aurora ROTCU

At 1300H on August 3, 2025, the Zamboanga del Sur Provincial Government College – Aurora ROTCU conducted a ROTC Orientation for students enrolled in NSTP/ROTC for the First Semester of SY 2025–2026.

The activity was spearheaded by CPT Alixander D. Ano-os (ART) PA, Commandant of the unit, along with MAJ Diosdado C. Periwperiw (RES) PA, Assistant Commandant, and Sgt. Felix S. Obañana Jr. (OS) PA, Admin NCO. Also present were Ms. Divine Grace De Jesus, RCrim., MSCJ, NSTP Coordinator, the Training Staff, and Advance ROTC Officers of the unit.

During the orientation, the students were thoroughly briefed on how the ROTC Program operates and its objectives. They expressed great enthusiasm and appreciation in getting to know the training staff and Tactical NCOs who will be instrumental in their ROTC journey.

The activity successfully laid the foundation for a productive and disciplined training period for the semester ahead.

On May 18, 2025, the ZDSPGC ROTC Unit proudly held its graduation ceremony for cadets of both the Basic and Advance ROTC Courses. The Basic ROTC cadets successfully completed Military Science 1 (MS-1) to Military Science 2 (MS-2) and are now graduates of the NSTP-ROTC program. Meanwhile, the Advance Course cadets completed Military Science 31 (MS-31) to Military Science 42 (MS-42) for Academic Year 2024–2025.

A heartfelt thank you goes to ZDSPGC, Acting School President Dr. Delmer A. Mondido, and the faculty and staff for their unwavering support in making this milestone possible.

This momentous event was held under the leadership of CPT Alixander D. Anoos (ART) PA, Commandant, represented by MAJ Junard J. Sagape (RES) PA, along with 1LT Mandia G. Lagos Jr., Assistant Commandant; ROTC Coordinator Ms. Divine Grace R. De Jesus; and Admin NCO SSG Jonathan Z. Ranido (INF) PA.

The graduation ceremony also marked the cadets' final day of training and their official enlistment as reservists of the Armed Forces of the Philippines.

The event opened with a warm welcome from Mr. Joemar Botuhan, Program Head of the College of Agriculture, followed by congratulatory remarks from Mr. Bon Jovi Jumarito, who recognized the cadets' dedication and perseverance throughout the program. A special acknowledgment goes to our remarkable Master of Ceremony, Sir Aprix Gabato, whose presence contributed greatly to the flow & spirit of the event. The keynote address was delivered by COL Lino L. Araya Jr. (GSC) (ART) PA, Director of the 901st CDC, who offered inspiring words for the graduates.

To our outstanding Basic and Advance ROTC Cadets—congratulations on reaching this significant milestone! Your dedication, passion, and perseverance have brought you to this proud moment. As you step into a new chapter of leadership and service, we celebrate the leaders you’ve become. Move forward with courage, integrity, and purpose—your journey is just beginning, and your potential is limitless.

This outstanding feat showcases the cadets' unwavering dedication, discipline, and hard work, reflecting the unit's commitment to excellence.

On May 06, 2025 the ZDSPGC-AURORA , DIMATALING AND PAGADIAN ROTC unit successfully held its 2nd whole day formation for the academic year 2024-2025 , together their Admin NCOs ,training staffs along with the NSTP Coordinators and GMAs with the ROTC Advance Cadet Officers headed by CDT COL Mark Jhayvan Sabas 1CL, the Brigade Commander, thru the leadership of CPT Alexander D Ano-os (ART), PA Commandant of ZDSPGC.

In preparation for the upcoming major event, the cadets from the said units showcased their determination in mastering all the categories from drills and ceremonies, pass-in-review, manual of arms and the other important categories. Despite bad weather conditions the cadets demonstrated unwavering efforts.Through rigorous training and meticulous attention to detail, they embodied resilience—proving that relentless teamwork and dedication can triumph over even the toughest challenges.

On April 13, 2025 the ZDSPGC-AURORA ROTC unit successfully held its whole day formation for the academic year 2024-2025 , led by SSg Jonathan Z Ranido (Inf) PA ,Admin NCO, together with 3 training staffs led by SSg Rey Garganera SC(RES) PA along with the NSTP Coordinator and GMAs with the ROTC Advance Cadet Officers headed by CDT COL Mark Jhayvan Sabas 1CL, the Corps Commander, thru the leadership of CPT Alexander D Ano-os (ART), PA Commandant of ZDSPGC.

In the morning the cadets assembled in the school lobby for a classroom discussion about Situational awareness, followed by the viewing of the West Philippine Sea. Four guest instructors, led by Mr. Macky C. Saavedra, facilitated the session. In the afternoon, the cadets moved to the ARPS school ground for the drills and ceremonies, and pass-in-review with the Drill Master, SSg Leo J. Tagupa (Art) PA , the rest of the cadets assisted by SSg Jonathan Z. Ranido (Inf) PA for the platoon unit tactics (PUT); and SSg Rey Garganera SC (RES) PA for the Knot tying. Despite the intense heat, the cadets demonstrated incredible resilience and unwavering dedication, proving that challenging conditions can be overcome with perseverance. The activities concluded at approximately 5:00 PM on the same day.
