Latest update on our sticker wall at the Lodge Secretary's office.

We now have stickers from Datu Daya :: 520 and Mt. Moriah :: 252!

For sojourning brethren, if you have a Lodge sticker or appendant body sticker (about 2–3 inches in size), we 'd be honored to add it to our special wall. We’ve prepared a special designated space where your Lodge emblem will be proudly displayed.

Every emblem tells a story. Let’s fill this wall with the spirit of fellowship and the pride of our Craft!

It was a full house tonight for the first Stated Meeting of the new term at Datu Lapu-Lapu Masonic Lodge No. 347. It was a productive evening as our officers, led by WM Joel Alili, officially took their stations and set the tone for the year ahead.

The meeting focused on several key highlights, including the presentation of the WM’s activity plans for the term. We also had the privilege of awarding Master Mason certificates to our newest brethren — congratulations to you all for reaching this milestone.

Looking forward, JW Eugene Espinosa shared the itinerary for ANCOM 2026 and discussed upcoming activities designed to keep the brethren engaged throughout the year.

We also took a moment to celebrate our April birthday celebrant and Harmony Officer, VW Jose Mateo, with a cake and a round of "Happy Birthday."

The evening continued with a great time of fellowship, strengthening the bonds of brotherly love that define our Lodge.

Onward and upward to a fantastic term!

True valor is not just found on the battlefield, but in the steady pursuit of what is right. Today, we celebrate the 'Kagitingan' of the Filipino spirit—a spirit that remains unshackled and free.

May we continue to build our nation with the same courage and integrity shown by those who came before us. Faith, Hope, and Charity in all our works.

Sa manlulupig, di ka pasisiil.

Attending the Institute of Masonic Education and Studies (IMES) class offers a great opportunity for any brother to deepen his understanding of the Craft well beyond the standard ritual. These classes serve as a vital bridge between simply being a member of a lodge and truly embodying the principles of Freemasonry. By engaging with the history, philosophy, and jurisprudence of our fraternity, you gain a clearer perspective on the "why" behind our ancient traditions, allowing you to move through your Masonic journey with greater purpose and insight.

Beyond the academic benefits, the IMES class provides a unique environment for high-level fellowship. You are surrounded by dedicated brethren from various Lodges who share a common drive for self-improvement and leadership. Many of these brothers are the future elected officers and Worshipful Masters of their respective lodges; by studying alongside them, you are building a professional and fraternal network that will support you for years to come. This collaborative atmosphere embodies the concept of "iron sharpening iron," as you help each other grow into more knowledgeable, capable, and well-rounded Masons. Ultimately, these classes empower you to lead with confidence and ensure that the future of the Craft is guided by wisdom and true Masonic light.

Fact-Checking the "Masonic Legend" of Chuck Norris

Despite viral social media posts, there is no official record from the Grand Lodge of Texas (or any other Masonic jurisdiction) confirming that Chuck Norris was ever initiated into Freemasonry. The "evidence" typically cited is easily debunked:
Naming Errors: The viral posts often refer to him as "Bro. Carlos 'Chuck' Norris Jr." In reality, the actor’s birth name is Carlos Ray Norris. Since his father was named Ray Dee Norris, he does not carry the "Junior" suffix.

AI Visual Artifacts: The images circulating are clearly AI-generated. They feature tell-tale signs of synthetic manipulation, such as unnaturally smooth skin for a man of his age, "uncanny valley" lighting, and a Masonic lapel pin where the Square and Compasses are distorted and incorrectly layered.

A Case of Mistaken Identity: Much of the confusion stems from a 2019 obituary for a U.S. Army veteran named Charles "Chuck" Norris in Kansas. This gentleman was indeed a dedicated member of his local Masonic Lodge; however, he simply shared a name with the action star.

The Bottom Line

Chuck Norris remains a martial arts icon and a "living legend," but he has never been a member of the Masonic fraternity.
