The College of Computing and Multimedia Studies Student Government proudly extends its support to the University of Camarines Norte Band and Majorettes as they represent Camarines Norte in the 1st Regional Brass Band and Majorette Drill & Exhibition Competition, part of the 52nd Kasanggayahan Festival 2026, on October 15 in Sorsogon City.

𝐔𝐂𝐍𝐄𝐀𝐍𝐒, 𝐀𝐍𝐎𝐍𝐆 𝐔𝐏𝐃𝐀𝐓𝐄 𝐒𝐀 𝐁𝐑𝐀𝐈𝐍 𝐂𝐄𝐋𝐋𝐒 𝐍𝐘𝐎?

Yung feeling mong ready ka na, tapos pag-open ng test paper, bigla mong kinuwestiyon kung nag-aral ka ba talaga o nagbasa ka lang for the plot.

From “kaya pa ’to, isang basa na lang” to “teka, bakit parang first time ko makita ’tong topic na ’to?” The plot twists were definitely not in the reviewer. Nagbasa, nag-memorize, nag-sacrifice ng tulog, only for the exam to unlock a whole new level. Tapos paglabas mo, saka nag-load ang utak. Brain really said,“I got you, just not on time.”

But hey, if things didn't go as planned, take a breath. One exam doesn't define your worth or what you're capable of achieving. Hindi man perfect ang results this time, there's still room to learn, grow, and do better next time. Pahinga muna, then bawi ulit. You've got more chances ahead of you, UCNeans.

LOOK | Mr. Marc Lester Acunin, Instructor I of the College of Computing and Multimedia Studies (CCMS), represented the University of Camarines Norte (UCN) at the International Research Collaboration and Academic Benchmarking Programme held from September 29 to October 4, 2026, at Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP) in Seri Iskandar, Perak, Malaysia.

Organized with UTP’s Centre for Intelligence, Digitalisation and Emerging Autonomous Systems (IDEAs) and Department of Computing, the programme brought together five higher education institutions: UTP, UCN, Guimaras State University, Leyte Normal University, and Bohol Island State University. Building on professional networks established through the Naveen Jindal Young Global Research Fellowship at O.P. Jindal Global University in India, the engagement featured academic benchmarking, knowledge exchange, research meetings, and technical discussions on Artificial Intelligence for Smart Agriculture.

A key highlight was the visit to the Malaysian Agricultural Research and Development Institute (MARDI), where participants explored agricultural research, technological innovations, and sustainable farming practices, including potential applications of artificial intelligence and emerging technologies.

The programme also opened discussions on joint research projects, scholarly publications, faculty and student mobility, and future academic partnerships. Through these initiatives, UCN continues to strengthen its international research network and explore innovations that may benefit local communities, particularly the agricultural sector.

CCMS extends its gratitude to the UCN Administration, led by University President Atty. Ryan L. Estevez, DPA, for its continued support of faculty participation in international academic and research engagements.

The University of Camarines Norte (UCN) joins fellow higher education institutions in the 2026 PAPSAS Midyear Interactive Youth Forum, held on October 7–9, 2026, in Davao City, Philippines, bringing together youth leaders and representatives for meaningful dialogue, collaboration, and leadership development.

Among the university’s delegates is 𝑱𝒂𝒏 𝑨𝒓𝒊𝒄𝒌 𝑨𝒍𝒃𝒆𝒓𝒕𝒐, President of the College of Computing and Multimedia Studies–Student Government (CCMS-SG), who joins 𝑬𝒅𝒆𝒍𝒚𝒏 𝑷𝒆ñ𝒂, President of the COTT Student Government; 𝑱𝒂𝒃𝒆𝒛 𝑵𝒊𝒄𝒐𝒍𝒆 𝑫𝒆 𝑳𝒆𝒐𝒏, President of EGYA; 𝑴𝒓. 𝑺𝒑𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒆𝒓 𝑺𝒂𝒍𝒖𝒅𝒆𝒔; and 𝑴𝒔. 𝑲𝒓𝒊𝒔𝒔𝒆𝒍 𝑱𝒐𝒚 𝑳𝒐𝒓𝒆𝒏𝒐 as part of the broader UCN delegation participating in the three-day gathering.
