To the Assumption College of Davao (ACD) community—including all learners, students, personnel, contracted workers, and visitors:

In line with our continuing commitment to safety, security, and preparedness, mandatory bag inspection upon entry will be strictly enforced for all individuals, without exception.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝟰-𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗽 𝗘𝗻𝘁𝗿𝘆 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀

APPROACH: Proceed directly to the designated entrance.

PRESENT: Bag owners must personally open and present their bags for inspection.

COOPERATE: Allow our authorized security personnel to inspect your bag.

PROCEED: Once your bag has been cleared, proceed safely into the campus.

𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗥𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀

1. Arrive early.
Allow sufficient time for the inspection process to avoid delays on your way to class or work.

2. Know who conducts the inspections.
Bag inspections are conducted primarily by our Security Personnel (initial screening) and, when necessary, further verified by the Prefect of Discipline (POD). All authorized personnel are easily identifiable by their official IDs and uniforms.

3. Follow instructions at all times.
Please cooperate with our security personnel throughout the inspection process. They may use handheld metal detectors, gloves, and flashlights to facilitate thorough or low-light inspections.

Thank you for your full cooperation and understanding. Campus security is a shared responsibility, and these measures are implemented solely to ensure the safety, security, and well-being of the entire ACD community.

A BLESSED FEAST OF THE ASSUMPTION

Today, August 15, we joyfully celebrate the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the feast of our beloved Patroness, Our Lady of the Assumption.

On this blessed occasion, we honor Mary, who was assumed body and soul into heavenly glory. Her life remains a radiant example of unwavering faith, humble obedience, loving surrender, and complete trust in God.

May Mary’s example inspire us to faithfully respond to God’s call, to embrace each day with hope and compassion, and to remain steadfast in our journey of faith, always drawing closer to her Son, Jesus Christ.

As one Assumption community, may this celebration deepen our unity, strengthen our faith, and fill our hearts with gratitude as we continue to live out our mission with love and solidarity.

Please be guided by the following schedule of holidays and special non-working days for August 2026:

• August 13, Thursday – ACD Fiesta Celebration: No work and classes in the afternoon and evening.
• August 14, Friday – Kadayawan Festival: Special Non-Working Holiday.
• August 15, Saturday – Solemnity of the Assumption: School Holiday.
• August 21, Friday – Ninoy Aquino Day: Special Non-Working Day.
• August 31, Monday – National Heroes Day: National Holiday.

We encourage all members of the Assumption community to take note of these dates and make the necessary arrangements and plans accordingly.
