The Board of Trustees announces the close of the nomination and application period for the position of University President. The Board is now reviewing and evaluating the nominations and applications received.

The shortlisted candidates and the details of a public forum will be announced soon. The forum will provide an opportunity for these candidates to present their respective visions, goals, and plans for the University and engage with members of the Silliman community.

The Board thanks everyone who participated in the nomination and application process and looks forward to the continued engagement of the Silliman community in this important undertaking.

Recycled apathy and indifference. Nothing new! What else to expect from the Board?

We believe in peace, dialogue, and mutual respect. Scripture reminds us: there is a time for peace and a time for conflict (Ecclesiastes 3:8).

We shall always choose peace when justice prevails, but we shall never hesitate to stand and fight when the rights and dignity of our members are threatened.

As Union has requested from Administration in seeking resolution to the current deadlock, we ask our members for the continued support as the parties will meet this afternoon. Let us see if the University Administration is willing to resolve this dispute for the good of the University and, most especially, for the good of its academic personnel.

We have received reports that BOT will ride this crisis out and weather this storm until it calms down. Again.

Nothing new. Just recycled apathy and indifference. In our mind, this only confirms they are more interested in their agenda. Not the agenda of Silliman community.
