ESSU Can-avid athletes are now ready and en route to the ESSU Main Campus, Borongan City for their concentration training in preparation for the highly anticipated State Colleges and Universities Athletic Association (SCUAA) 2026 in Tacloban City.

This concentration training aims to further enhance their skills, discipline and teamwork as they gear up for the 39th Regional SCUAA Games, scheduled to take place in Tacloban City, Leyte, from April 19 to 25, 2026.

In observance of Araw ng Kagitingan, the entire ESSU System will be on holiday break tomorrow, April 9, 2026 - Thursday.

As provided by Proclamation No. 1006 series of 2025 by the Office of the President of the Philippines, the date aforementioned is a regular non-working holiday in the entire country. Work and classes across all ESSU campuses will be on break to commemorate our wartime heroes and celebrate the resilience of the Filipino spirit.

𝗘𝗦𝗦𝗨 𝗖𝗮𝗻-𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗱 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗽𝘂𝘀 𝗔𝗱𝗼𝗽𝘁𝘀 𝗧𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝟰-𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸 𝗙𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗚𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗢𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗿

Following the directive of 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗙𝗲𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗥. 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗼𝘀 𝗝𝗿. and the guidelines under 𝗠𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘂𝗺 𝗖𝗶𝗿𝗰𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗿 𝗡𝗼. 𝟭𝟭𝟰 𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝘆 𝗠𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗮ñ𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲, government offices are required to temporarily implement a four-day workweek starting 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝟵.

‎The directive applies to national government agencies, local government units, government-owned or controlled companies, state universities and colleges, including 𝗘𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻 𝗦𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗿 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆.

‎In compliance with this order, ESSU Can-avid Campus will temporarily implement a 𝟰-𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀 𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗹𝗲. Government agencies are also instructed to reduce electricity and fuel consumption by 10–20%.

‎This measure aims to conserve energy and reduce fuel use amid rising global oil prices caused by the ongoing crisis in the Middle East.
