Dr. Lea P. Ymalay, Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (BSCS) Program Head of the College of Science and Technology, has been officially appointed as the new Student Affairs and Services (SAS) Coordinator. She takes the place of Instr. John Alfred Borreros, who will now serve as the Internationalization Coordinator of the College of Science and Technology (CST) to sustain the university’s growing Internationalization (IZN) Program.

The GSU Mosqueda Campus warmly welcomes Dr. Ymalay as she takes on this important role, bringing her expertise in academic leadership and student development.

The GSU-Mosqueda Campus Personnel and Students joined the UWeek Kick Off parade in Salvador Campus. Dressed in their campus colors and waving banners high, they showcased their unity and pride in being part of the larger university community. Creating an atmosphere of celebration and togetherness that set the stage for an exciting week of UWeek festivities.

We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of a cherished member of the Guimaras State University community. His dedication and contributions have left an indelible mark on all of us. Guimaras State University-Mosqueda Campus personnel, along with the College President, Key Officials and personnel from Salvador and Baterna Campus joined the Manggahan Festival 2024 Parade showcasing their unwavering support to the Province of Guimaras in celebrating the annual Manggahan Festival.

The GSU Intellectual Property Management Office (IPMO) hosted an orientation designed for students of GSU's Mosqueda Campus held at GSU Mosqueda Conference Hall. This event provided a deeper understanding of intellectual property management and its relevance to their academic pursuits and future careers.

The Guimaras State University-Internal Audit Unit held an orientation at GSU-Mosqueda Campus on May 02, 2024, with participation of the process owners of the campus. The aim of this orientation was to understand the functions of Internal Controls and the evaluations to be conducted by the Internal Audit Unit across various operational units and their impact on the attainment of organizational goals and objectives.

The collaboration between the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) of Jordan Municipality and Guimaras State University-Mosqueda Campus for conducting earthquake drill simulation exercises signifies a proactive approach towards disaster preparedness and community resilience. The MDRRMO expands its outreach to a broader demographic, encompassing students, faculty, and staff, thereby cultivating a culture of preparedness.
These simulation exercises not only provide practical training on how to respond effectively during earthquakes but also serve as an opportunity to test and evaluate existing emergency response plans and protocols. Through hands-on participation in such drills, individuals gain valuable skills and knowledge that can potentially save lives in real-life emergency situations.

𝑶𝒏𝒆 𝑩𝒊𝒍𝒍𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝑹𝒊𝒔𝒊𝒏𝒈

On February 26, 2024, the One Billion Rising commemoration with the theme "Rise for freedom - Be the New World" was initiated by the Guimaras State University-Mosqueda Campus spearheaded by the GAD Office. Faculty, staff, and students enthusiastically participated in the global dance campaign to end violence against women and promote gender equality and inclusivity. This marked the largest collective action against violence towards women and aimed to raise awareness about gender-based violence. Through various activities fostering a community free from prejudice and violence, the GSU-GAD aimed to amplify women's voices globally, advocating for an end to sexual violence against women.
