▐ November 21, 2025 – Culminating Activity in Cordillera Heritage and IKSP▐

What an amazing celebration of Cordilleran culture! The Culminating Activity in Cordillera Heritage and Indigenous Knowledge Systems and Practices (IKSP) brought together students to explore, experience, and showcase the richness of the Cordillera region in truly meaningful ways—through colorful cultural booth exhibits, dynamic group presentations, and an exciting quiz bee.

What made this event even more special was its focus on low-cost, sustainable practices. Students displayed incredible creativity using eco-friendly and recyclable materials, highlighting not only the beauty of the Cordilleran culture but also the importance of environmental stewardship—supporting SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production) and SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities).

This celebration wasn’t just about fun and learning—it was about empowering students to become advocates for heritage preservation and sustainability. It was a day full of creativity, unity, cultural pride, and inspiration, reminding everyone why our Cordilleran identity is something to cherish and protect.

In light of PAGASA Weather Advisory No. 2, s. 2025 and in consideration of the safety of all students and employees, the Office of the University President has issued Executive Order (EO) No. 29, s. 2025, suspending work and classes in all campuses on November 10, 2025 (Monday), except for units providing essential and emergency frontline services such as security and disaster response.

The EO also directs all Campus Executive Directors, the University Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (UDRRMO), and Campus DRRMOs to issue appropriate advisories pertaining to evacuation plans and campus-specific precautionary measures to their respective constituents.

On October 24, 2025, for the second time, IFSU Aguinaldo Campus extended its community services to Damag Elementary School promoting environmental stewardship, Cordilleran values, and cultural pride.

In the morning session, BS Psychology OJT students from IFSU Lamut Campus engaged the young learners in a discussion on solidarity and stewardship. Meanwhile, students taking the Cordillera Heritage subject contributed to the school beautification activity, applying the Cordilleran principle of fachang—modeling the spirit of bayanihan and cooperation to the learners of DES.

Through this meaningful collaboration, IFSU continues to fulfill its mission of promoting community engagement, cultural preservation, and holistic education, inspiring future generations to carry forward the values of unity, pride, and service.

Highlights of the IFSU Intercampus Sports and Socio-Cultural Festival 2025
The festival concluded with the students of IFSU–Aguinaldo Campus showcasing their skill and teamwork in volleyball and basketball, capping off the event with pride and sportsmanship.
