Changing the narrative on su***de starts with conversation.

Every compassionate conversation can help break down stigma and build a culture of understanding.

Replace silence with openness.

Create communities where people feel seen, heard and supported.

𝗦𝘂𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵

Some flowers wilt quietly. Not because they were never meant to bloom, but because something unseen had been weighing on them for far too long.

In observance of World Su***de Prevention Month 2026, guided by the theme “Changing the Narrative on Su***de,” we are reminded that behind every silence may be a story we have yet to hear.

All of us are flowers. We bend when life becomes heavy, lose our color when the days grow difficult, and sometimes need someone to help us find the light again. But wilting is not the same as being finished. A painful season does not erase the possibility of another bloom.

Changing the narrative can begin with something simple: ask, listen, and stay. Do not wait for someone to say they need help. Sometimes, reaching out first can make all the difference.

If you are struggling, you do not have to carry it alone. Talk to someone you trust or seek professional help. In the Philippines, you may call 911 in an emergency or contact the National Center for Mental Health Crisis Hotline at 1553 for crisis support.

Sometimes, helping someone bloom again begins with simply noticing that they are wilting.

Hi, Bestie! September na! Ang bilis ng panahon, diba?

The past eight months may have been challenging. There were probably days when you felt tired, lost, or unsure of what comes next. But somehow, you kept going—and that matters.

As we enter the last four months of the year, I hope you remember that you don’t have to carry everything alone. It’s okay to reach out, to pause, to ask for help, and to simply take things one day at a time.

There is still so much life ahead of you—more days to experience, people to meet, memories to make, and little moments that haven't happened yet.

So, whatever today looks like, please stay.

And if you’re having a difficult time, I hope you know that someone is always willing to listen.

Here’s to a gentler September, and to the four months we still have ahead.

I’m proud of you for making it this far, bestie.

Keep going. 🤍

As we begin Su***de Prevention Month, we are reminded that hope can sometimes begin with simply knowing that we do not have to face life's difficulties alone. 💙

This month, let us create more spaces for honest conversations, compassionate listening, and meaningful support. A simple check-in, a listening ear, or a reminder that someone matters can make a difference.

May we continue to reach out, listen without judgment, and remind one another that help, hope, and connection are always worth seeking.
