Cavite State University marks its first participation in the UI GreenMetric Sustainability University Rankings with a ranking of 1,188th globally among 2,016 participating universities and 73rd among 130 participating higher education institutions in the Philippines in the UI GreenMetric Sustainability University Rankings 2026.

This achievement reflects the University’s sustained efforts to integrate sustainability into its campus operations, institutional practices, and development initiatives. Among these efforts is the University’s solarization initiative, which advances the use of renewable energy and supports the development of greener and more sustainable campuses.

Under the leadership of University President Dr. Ma. Agnes P. Nuestro, CvSU continues to advance initiatives that strengthen its sustainability agenda and contribute to more environmentally responsible and resilient campus operations.

As the University further expands its solarization efforts and other sustainability initiatives, CvSU looks forward to further strengthening its standing in the UI GreenMetric Sustainability University Rankings in the years ahead. More importantly, these efforts reaffirm the University’s commitment to building a sustainable future for its students, faculty, staff, and communities.

This milestone is a testament to the collective efforts of the entire CvSU community toward a greener, more sustainable, and future-ready Cavite State University.

The five-day virtual accreditation visit held from September 21 to 25, 2026, was successfully concluded, marking another significant milestone in Cavite State University’s continuing commitment to quality assurance and excellence in education.

The five-day accreditation visit covered nine programs and featured a series of activities designed to assess and validate the programs’ compliance with accreditation standards, as well as their practices, facilities, services, and outcomes.

The successful completion of the five-day virtual accreditation visit reflects the collective efforts of the participating programs, accreditors, administrators, faculty members, staff, students, and other stakeholders. More than an assessment of compliance, the accreditation process serves as an avenue for reflection, validation, and continuous improvement as Cavite State University continues to advance its pursuit of quality and excellence in education.

Cavite State University (CvSU) warmly welcomes the esteemed accreditors from the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP) who will be conducting the Virtual Accreditation Survey Visits for the First and Second Surveys from September 21–25, 2026.

As part of the University's continuing commitment to quality assurance and continuous improvement, distinguished AACCUP accreditation teams will virtually assess various academic programs across the Don Severino de las Alas, Trece Martires City, Imus, Tanza, and Carmona Campuses.

𝐂𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐥𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐬 𝐓𝐡𝐫𝐞𝐞-𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐕𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐜𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐮𝐫𝐯𝐞𝐲 𝐕𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐭

The Virtual Accreditation Survey Visit conducted from June 1–3, 2026, was successfully completed, marking another significant milestone in Cavite State University's pursuit of academic excellence and quality assurance.

The three-day accreditation commenced on June 1, 2026, with an opening program. University President Dr. Ma. Agnes P. Nuestro delivered the welcome remarks, followed by the introduction of the University officials. Dr. Pia Rhoda P. Lucero, Director for Quality Assurance, introduced the AACCUP accreditors. Subsequently, Overall Coordinator Dr. Eunice B. Custodio presented the objectives and procedures of the accreditation process and shared the inspiring quote by Kano Jigoro: “Success is not about being the best; it is about being better than you were yesterday”

Following the opening program, breakout sessions were conducted for the Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (Main Campus) program. During these sessions, accreditor engaged in question-and-answer discussions to validate the evidence and supporting documents submitted by the program.

On Day 2 (June 2, 2026), the breakout sessions continued for the Bachelor of Science in Computer Science program, alongside the Bachelor in Agricultural Entrepreneurship (Main Campus) and Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management (Silang Campus) programs. The sessions included interviews with students, alumni, faculty members, and partner industry to assess program effectiveness, curriculum relevance, and overall quality of implementation. Additional document reviews and clarificatory discussions were also conducted to support the evaluation process.

The accreditation activities culminated on Day 3 (June 3, 2026) with a closing program. Dr. Eunice B. Custodio delivered the overall impressions, highlighting the strengths of the programs and identifying areas for further improvement. She also delivered a meaningful message, stating: “Vision does not set our dedication; it ignites our passion, breeds persistence, and gives profound meaning to every step we take.”

This was followed by messages of commitment from the deans and campus administrator of the accredited programs, reaffirming their dedication to maintaining and continuously enhancing the quality standards of their respective academic offerings. The program concluded with the closing remarks delivered by Dr. Cristina M. Signo, Vice President for Academic Affairs.

The successful conduct of the three-day Virtual Accreditation Survey Visit reflects Cavite State University's unwavering commitment to quality assurance, continuous improvement, and the delivery of excellent academic programs and services.

Cavite State University improved its global ranking to 217th place and placing within the Top 100 in 16 categories in the 2026 World University Rankings for Innovation (WURI).

WURI is a ranking system that assesses the societal and industry contributions of higher education institutions (HEIs), with focus on their innovative approaches to education, research, and society.
From ranking in two categories in its first WURI entry in 2024, the University is now among the Global Top 50 innovative universities in the following areas: 15th in Inclusive Social Innovation for the Underserved (C6); 18th in Social Impact through Knowledge Transfer (C5); 26th in Ethics and Integrity (A6) and University-Based Entrepreneurial Projects (C7); 38th in Industrial Application (A3); 42nd in Visionary Leadership (B1); 43rd in Interdisciplinary, Convergent, and Integrated Research (C2); and 46th in Crisis Management (A5).
