The Department of Industrial Engineering and Technology 𝙗𝙚𝙖𝙢𝙨 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙥𝙧𝙞𝙙𝙚 as we celebrate a 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗹𝘆 𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁! 𝗗𝗿. 𝗚𝗲𝗿𝗿𝘆 𝗠. 𝗖𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗼 has officially earned his 𝗗𝗼𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗼𝗽𝗵𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 from Cavite State University.

𝗕𝗦𝗜𝗘 𝗦𝗘𝗡𝗜𝗢𝗥 𝗘𝗡𝗚𝗔𝗚𝗘𝗦 𝗜𝗡 𝗜𝗣 𝗨𝗡𝗜𝗧𝗘 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, 𝗛𝗜𝗚𝗛𝗟𝗜𝗚𝗛𝗧𝗦 𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗦𝗜𝗦 𝗢𝗨𝗧𝗣𝗨𝗧

𝗔𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗹𝘆𝗻 𝗠. 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗲𝘇, a fourth year Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering (BSIE) student from the Department of Industrial Engineering and Technology (DIET), participated in the 𝗜𝗣 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲: 𝗣𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗦𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽 held from March 24–26, 2026, at the Interdisciplinary Research Building Conference Room. The workshop gathered faculty members, researchers, and student innovators to 𝗲𝗻𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄𝗹𝗲𝗱𝗴𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗱𝗼𝗰𝘂𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻.

Throughout the three-day training, participants engaged in hands-on activities focused on key areas such as 𝗶𝗻𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗿 𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁-𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗱𝗼𝗰𝘂𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀. As part of the culminating activity, Cortez presented the results of their undergraduate thesis through a 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗿 𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗶𝘅 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁, demonstrating the 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗱𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗰 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵.

Her participation shows DIET’s commitment to 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗰𝗮𝗽𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 among its students.
