Mr. Kelvin Klyde Villamore , core faculty member of the AB English Language Studies program, took the lead as the discussant and project leader of the research extension proposal titled โCapacitating Language Awareness, Strategies, and Techniques: A Psycholinguistic Approach to Language Teaching.โ This initiative, positioned as both a research and extension project, brings a fresh, high-impact take on bridging theory and real-world classroom practiceโvery much giving substance and purpose. ๐โจ

Dr. Annie ParmisโAmorganda (2021) Charmis Grandeur as the branch of linguistics and cognitive science that deals as to how language is processed (language comprehension), produced (language production) and acquired (language acquisition) through cognitive mechanisms.
The proposal highlights the relevance of the "Psychology of Language" as a core discipline in AB English Language Studies. The panel, chaired by the Head of the Department of the Arts and Sciences Catherine Llano Corcino-Daffon, a Doctor of Education in English Language Teaching brought together a dynamic mix of faculty from Linguistics and Literature (Filipino, English and Literary Language), Statistics/Math, Science, Social Sciences, Psychology, and English Language Studiesโan interdisciplinary lineup that understood the assignment. โ๏ธ๐ฉ๐ปโ๐ซ

At its core, the research extension and project program aims to equip DepEd teachers with research-driven strategies and techniquesโturning theory into practice and insight into impact.
